Promises unfulfilled I was unable to edit my original review probably.because of the time lapse between originally posting it and when my issues were finally fixed so I am I was unable to edit my original review probably.because of the time lapse between originally posting it and when my issues were finally fixed so I am writing a final review of my experience hopefully dealerrater.com will publish this review for the sake of honesty in their ratings, I invite the dealer to respond as well as little they say can justify the experience. I bought a truck from Port Motor's approximately two months ago, as part of the deal the broken gas guage and rear window were to be fixed. I was told it would be two to three days after the sale so they could get parts if I bought the truck I told them I would return in two days and purchase the truck,which I did, Two days later i went back to Port Motors for my repairs they told me I should have called and they didn't order the parts yet, I visited the Ford dealership basically across the street and they had the parts needed in stock. I went back to Port Motors and informed them I was told they don't buy parts there and they would order the parts and call me when they arrived. After a week had passed with no word from Port Motors I went to the dealer they were upset because I was asking about my repairs in front of other customers yet my parts weren't there and I was told again I should have called. One of the salesman called their "mechanic" the phone number he called was not in service which told me he hadn't called at all about my truck. He called another number and spoke in Spanish not knowing I could get an idea about the conversation. He told me the parts were coming from Michigan and it will be a few days and they will call me , the finance manager came out to my truck and was not happy that I changed my review on here and showed his displeasure. I told him I followed through with my promise you didn't. Another week went by and I went back again they had recieved one of the two parts they said the mechanic could install it in two days. I came back two days later their mechanic installed a new instrument panel which turned out to be the wrong part the gas guage worked but it caused several other problems. He sent my original instrument panel out for repair another two weeks went by and I came back he reinstalled the original instrument panel and it didn't work, so they ordered another one meanwhile The Ford Dealership basically across the street still had parts in stock to fix it they refused to buy the parts from Ford dealership. It took just under TWO MONTHS for Port Motors to fix two items, while I drove the truck with either no indication of how much fuel I had or with my interior lights going on and off without reason and the transmission shifting strange because the truck is a diesel and gets its signals from the instrument panel and the wrong one was installed. If you buy here make sure the vehicle is inspected or tour happy with the way it is or you will regret it if you need service or they promise to fix anything. More
