Was called during the day to be informed they didn't have part and had to order it. "Just pay for part, and we'll order it and do the work another day". Fine. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle that evening, there was only a girl behind a window with my keys. I was told I had to pay full amount on invoice. I explained to her to her that no work was done on my car, but she insisted. I got pissed, and she finally got a Sales Mgr., who then had to call Service Guy at home. Mind you, this is all after long day of work! Finally, Sales Mgr. Tells me I just have to pay for part. Fine, right? Except a day later, I get a call from Service Mgr.(Alex)to talk about the INCIDENT that occurred. Incident? What incident?! He tells me that he can't have people yelling at his employees. Thing is, no yelling ever took place! He tells me others confirmed this, except that it was just me and the girl in the whole service Dept.! He then tells me I should have just paid full bill, OR left my car overnight! Really! I guess I should have walked home (25 miles)! The thing is, Alex specifically called me @ 9:00 AM in the morning to tell me this, not to apologize for any misunderstanding! Not to mention that the original quote for my window is about $100.00 more than I was originally told! There is something really wrong with these people and this place! STAY AWAY! More

Well maintained and ever since it was taken in for a recall to this dealer there has been issue after issue. I was told by the service department today " well, ma'am it's a jeep with 56k miles on it what do you expect ? Seriously? ??? That's nothing !!!! They are rude, not helpful and I believe their service department needs to be investigated. I believe they are damaging cars and making more problems. I have bought 3 jeeps from them within 9 years. ...All had issues. With in those 9 years we have also purchased 2 seperate jeeps from Browns as well as Westbury and never had an issue with the 2 jeeps purchased elsewhere. Some thing isn't right. Was going to buy another jeep this year but after being a jeep owner for over 25 years I will now be a subaru owner. Port Jeff jeep has left us with no faith in jeeps and will never purchase another one again. More
First called to get service on something that I thought should have been covered by my lifetime warranty but they told me wasnt and would cost $450 to fix. I picked up m truck and brought it to my regular should have been covered by my lifetime warranty but they told me wasnt and would cost $450 to fix. I picked up m truck and brought it to my regular mechanic who charged me $85 all in!!!! The service department was not friendly nor helpful whatsoever. If ever had to purchase or service another vehicle i would NEVER go here again. More
Absolute worse service department! Every time my car goes in for regular maintenance it is damaged with either a scratch and or dent. Very confrontational individuals that their wrong doings become a debate in for regular maintenance it is damaged with either a scratch and or dent. Very confrontational individuals that their wrong doings become a debate rather then taking accountability for there shortcomings! The owner Scott Rhein is the biggest culprit and like most things in life it starts from the top down and clearly Scott's hostile approach to customer service has trickled down through the entire dealership with only the consumer being negatively impacted. This service department cannot be trusted to complete the most simple scheduled maintenance let alone the quality component. The overall lack of knowledge and incompetence in ordering the right part is a challenge for them, how can a customer trust the workmanship of a brake job in the vehicle you transport your family in. Chrysler Corporation needs to instill some sort of punishment towards the dealership and its Owner Scott Rhein to rectify their approach to CUSTOMER SERVICE! My suggestion is to have all personnel take part in a customer service course on how to more effectively communicate with customers coupled with taking ACCOUNTABILITY for mistakes, ensure non-confrontational debates with the customer, increase PRIDE in there workmanship, and simply respect the customer's time and property with some vehicles costing >$50,000.00 you would think they ran a junkyard! Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism displayed towards me as a customer.... STAY AWAY! More
I bought a certified 2008 Town and Country. The car overall was in pretty good shape. As part of the buy, I wanted the dealer to address 3 open recalls on the carfax. I came back two days later to pi overall was in pretty good shape. As part of the buy, I wanted the dealer to address 3 open recalls on the carfax. I came back two days later to pick up the car and was told that they addressed the recalls. After picking up the car, there was a minor transmission issue and therefore brought the car back. I spoke with Tim who was very friendly and mentioned he will look at the transmission and would replace a gas pump which was going bad. I had to come back after in a couple of days to reduce the amount of gas in my tank. When I came back, I met George (THIS GUY SHOULD NOT BE AT THE COUNTER). He denied that I had any issues with the car and did not think I needed any repairs. Unfortunately Tim was on vacation that week. After fighting about the gas pump and pointing out the service guy that identified the problem, the dealer took the car and did the repair. I brought up the recalls and they mentioned that they were taken care of. I spoke with Chyrsler Corporation about the recalls because I had a suspicion that they were not done. Chrysler called the dealer and asked about my car and it turns out that they did not do the recalls. Needless to say, I had to go back to the dealer and this time dealt solely with Tim. Chrylser also followed up with the dealer to ensure that the repairs are done. The dealer is not willing to do any repairs within that warranty period after buying the car because it is losing money everytime they fix something. Guys like George are good for the dealer but are bad for the customer because they are willing to tell you that the car has no issues since it is within the warranty period. My advice to anyone is talk to Chrysler Corporation and if you do not feel comfortable going back to the dealer, it can be worked out that you go to another dealer to get the work done and it would still be covered. I brought my Dodge Truck to get serviced and it was a pleasurable experience. People were pleasant and professional. They changed the oil, rotated the tires and looked over the whole vehicle because I pleasurable experience. People were pleasant and professional. They changed the oil, rotated the tires and looked over the whole vehicle because I purchased the vehicle used privately. The price was reasonable, average and I only waited a half hour. More
I purchased multiple new & used vehicles from here & took all of my 5 cars here for service. I recommended Port Jeff to my friends & Family also! While in for a warranty repair, Their mechanic damaged & took all of my 5 cars here for service. I recommended Port Jeff to my friends & Family also! While in for a warranty repair, Their mechanic damaged my vehicle (It slipped off the jack because it wasn't placed properly) & Alex the service manager cursed me & blamed me for their damage to my vehicle! Even the mechanic admitted he caused the damage, but that wasn't good enough for ALEX!!! Also it took 5 trips to fix a simple electronic part replacement & the same mechanic ripped the terminals from the rear window instead of un-clipping the connector, now the whole job is botched up & looks like a kinder gardener did it! I was nothing but professional when talking to Alex, while he SCREAMED at me. When I contacted Peter the owner, he asked if "I was going threaten him also???" They're out of their minds at this dealership! If asking what the service managers last name is, is considered a threat, then ok!! There are MUCH better Chrysler dealerships out there who actually appreciate good customers! Stay away from Port Jeff Chrysler both Alex & the Owner Peter are unprofessional & don't cater to good LOYAL customers!! Go To Browns on Rt. 112, they seem much more professional! Funny thing is i'm an active member of all the local Mopar car clubs, I guess port jeff doesn't need any local sales from people who purchase Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Fiat cars & parts. More
STAY AWAY!. They are extremely unprofessional. They will promise the world to make the sale, then when you drive off the lot, all bets are off!. My husband bought a truck from this location and before will promise the world to make the sale, then when you drive off the lot, all bets are off!. My husband bought a truck from this location and before the purchase he explained he had a snow plow on his old truck and what would it take to put it on the new truck. The sales man had my husband wait while he went to the parts/service department, to inquire a price amount to remove the plow from the old truck and install on the new truck. He came back and said $350.00. It was even written on the bill of sale, in the handwriting of the salesman. Now that its time to get the work done, the service department is saying that we have to spend over $1000 on a bracket for the plow plus the $350. Shouldnt they have known this, being that they are "master technicians", when originally asked. When we voiced our disappointment to the owner of the place, (Peter). He was abrupt and rude and careless. His only words were "how were we supposed to know"??? Not the first time this place has used these words.... More
Easily the worst experience I have ever had with any automotive entity ever. They performed a service that never worked and responded to a dispute over the bill like a couple of mobsters. I won't even l automotive entity ever. They performed a service that never worked and responded to a dispute over the bill like a couple of mobsters. I won't even let them near the car again, as I expect it to come back with some mysterious neew problem. Between their dishonesty and their incompetance the odds of getting your car back in better shape than you gave it to them are slim. Consider this an expensive lesson learned. More
