I brought my Dodge Truck to get serviced and it was a pleasurable experience. People were pleasant and professional. I purchased multiple new & used vehicles from here & took all of my 5 cars here for service. I recommended Port Jeff to my friends & Family also! While in for a warranty repair, Their mechanic damaged & took all of my 5 cars here for service. I recommended Port Jeff to my friends & Family also! While in for a warranty repair, Their mechanic damaged my vehicle (It slipped off the jack because it wasn't placed properly) & Alex the service manager cursed me & blamed me for their damage to my vehicle! Even the mechanic admitted he caused the damage, but that wasn't good enough for ALEX!!! Also it took 5 trips to fix a simple electronic part replacement & the same mechanic ripped the terminals from the rear window instead of un-clipping the connector, now the whole job is botched up & looks like a kinder gardener did it! I was nothing but professional when talking to Alex, while he SCREAMED at me. When I contacted Peter the owner, he asked if "I was going threaten him also???" They're out of their minds at this dealership! If asking what the service managers last name is, is considered a threat, then ok!! There are MUCH better Chrysler dealerships out there who actually appreciate good customers! Stay away from Port Jeff Chrysler both Alex & the Owner Peter are unprofessional & don't cater to good LOYAL customers!! Go To Browns on Rt. 112, they seem much more professional! Funny thing is i'm an active member of all the local Mopar car clubs, I guess port jeff doesn't need any local sales from people who purchase Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Fiat cars & parts. More
After extensive research for purchasing my new Durango I ended up at Port Jeff Chrysler Jeep Dodge. My sales person Pat Ryan was helpful and knowledgable. I felt I received a very fair price. Everything promised on the phone and in person was delivered as promised. The service staff has been equally as helpful but admittedly I have only come in only for some oil changes. This dealership was overall not a good experience, the vehicle was not at all how they described it and within owning it for less than a month I had to bring it back numerous times for a different problem vehicle was not at all how they described it and within owning it for less than a month I had to bring it back numerous times for a different problem each time. On numerous occasions I brought it back for the same problem..they had it there from 8 am till 530 pm to fix one small thing that every time I got the car back didn't seem like it was fixed at all..I do not recommend going to this dealer ship the only good thing about it was the customer service, the people there were very nice but probably because they want you to buy their cars. DON'T EVER BUY FROM THIS DEALER!!! THEY ARE SHADY SHYSTERS!!! THEY TRIED TO SELL ME A JEEP COMPASS 2011 AND THE CAR HAD BEEN KEYED!!!!!! THE SIZE OF IT WAS THE SIZE OF NY. After buying my Grand Cherokee, I noticed it didn't have the right radio, no sirius travel link, no flo tv access, and these are all supposed to be in the vehicle. I was faxed the memos from Jeep Corporate office that were sent to Port Jeff Jeep notifying them of the multiple changes. These memos were dated 5 months before I bought my vehicle. When I brought it to their attention, the manager's answer was, "they send us so many memos, we can't read all of them!" YOU HAD AT 5 MONTHS TO KNOW THAT THESE CHANGES WERE TAKING PLACE ON THIS MODEL!!!!! GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!! Looking at the other reviews, I know I'm not alone in my opinion of Port Jeff Jeep. I took my sister to a different dealer and she just bought a Wrangler, what a difference. More
STAY AWAY!. They are extremely unprofessional. They will promise the world to make the sale, then when you drive off the lot, all bets are off!. My husband bought a truck from this location and before will promise the world to make the sale, then when you drive off the lot, all bets are off!. My husband bought a truck from this location and before the purchase he explained he had a snow plow on his old truck and what would it take to put it on the new truck. The sales man had my husband wait while he went to the parts/service department, to inquire a price amount to remove the plow from the old truck and install on the new truck. He came back and said $350.00. It was even written on the bill of sale, in the handwriting of the salesman. Now that its time to get the work done, the service department is saying that we have to spend over $1000 on a bracket for the plow plus the $350. Shouldnt they have known this, being that they are "master technicians", when originally asked. When we voiced our disappointment to the owner of the place, (Peter). He was abrupt and rude and careless. His only words were "how were we supposed to know"??? Not the first time this place has used these words.... More
Easily the worst experience I have ever had with any automotive entity ever. They performed a service that never worked and responded to a dispute over the bill like a couple of mobsters. Between their dishonesty and their incompetance the odds of getting your car back in better shape than you gave it to them are slim. Consider this an expensive lesson learned. More
