After brief negotiations on a $61000.00 vehicle, I asked to see the invoice, and salesman Rich hands me the MSRP sheet Again I asked to see the invoice, then, all hell broke loose...He assumed I didn't do to see the invoice, and salesman Rich hands me the MSRP sheet Again I asked to see the invoice, then, all hell broke loose...He assumed I didn't do my homework. The internet is a powerful tool when negotiating with dealers, and they don't like it. His last response to me is "I don't have to sell you a car then" I walked out upset More

I headed up to Port Jeff Jeep based on good things I'd heard after having a bad experience at another local dealer. When we got there and were browsing the lot we were greeted by numerous salespeople I'd heard after having a bad experience at another local dealer. When we got there and were browsing the lot we were greeted by numerous salespeople who seemed knowledgeable and anxious to help. When we headed inside after browsing their inventory to make sure there wasn’t anything hiding out back that I’d missed on their online inventory we asked to speak to a salesman. At 2pm on a Friday they couldn’t seem to find anyone to help us for about 10 minutes. We mulled around the showroom and waited and waited and eventually we had the misfortune of being paired up with an older salesman named Pat Ryan. It seemed as if the only thing that interested him was opening our eyes to just how precious life is during our near-death golf cart ride around the lot. Oh yeah, we had to ride a golf cart to the back of the lot to drive past all of their Jeeps even after I informed him that we’d already been back there and there was nothing that suited my desires. Asking him to work on locating a car was like pulling teeth, so I told him that I’d already located a bunch of them. He goes back to his manager and comes back with an offer of around $34,200 and $1500 for my trade in. I literally had to stop myself from laughing at this insult. I told Pat that one of the dealership with the vehicle is ADVERTISING is for $33,400 and they’re matching down payments up to $1500. He asks what dealership this is, I tell him Fred Beans in Pennsylvania and he responds ‘Yeah, well we won’t be going to Fred Beans.’ I ask why and he responds that they’ve never dealt with them before. At this point I’m okay with going to Fred Beans myself to save a couple grand. He gets up and says ‘okay let me go make my manager’s day with this’ as if it’s my fault that they’re too small a dealership to compete. He comes back with an increased offer of $$4500 on my trade in(on a car with a private party value of $9200 and a trade in value of $7200). At this point I’m ready to go, but he insists on me meeting his manager. What’s with these domestic dealerships thinking meeting the manager is a big deal? It’s cheesy and insulting that you think introducing me to the manager is going to make me feel valued or something. I left Port Jeff disappointed that I hadn't gotten to work with any of the friendly salespeople we'd encountered on the lot. I guess there's a reason they were busy with customers - they probably knew what they were doing and wanted to do a little work. Overall, PJ Jeep may be worth a shot, but it didn't work out for me and I was actually disappointed about it. More
First called to get service on something that I thought should have been covered by my lifetime warranty but they told me wasnt and would cost $450 to fix. I picked up m truck and brought it to my regular should have been covered by my lifetime warranty but they told me wasnt and would cost $450 to fix. I picked up m truck and brought it to my regular mechanic who charged me $85 all in!!!! The service department was not friendly nor helpful whatsoever. If ever had to purchase or service another vehicle i would NEVER go here again. More

I purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee and Nick Calendrino was the salesperson who first assisted me. The initial model he showed me was the Laredo which I liked very much. He then showed me the Limited as to c the salesperson who first assisted me. The initial model he showed me was the Laredo which I liked very much. He then showed me the Limited as to compare features on this model. Nick was very informative and explained everything in detail; but never gave me "the hard sell", which I appreciated. Overall - a good experience. More
I went to the dealership looking for a new Jeep. I was greeted right away and the salesman took the time to answer all of my questions. The price I was quoted was on par with other dealerships. greeted right away and the salesman took the time to answer all of my questions. The price I was quoted was on par with other dealerships. If you ever need to have service done to your car DO NOT TAKE IT TO THIS LOCATION. NOT EVEN FOR AN OIL CHANGE! This place is a HUGE rip off that takes horrible advantage of people. Every time my husband too TAKE IT TO THIS LOCATION. NOT EVEN FOR AN OIL CHANGE! This place is a HUGE rip off that takes horrible advantage of people. Every time my husband took his car in for an oil change or one small thing, they end up finding all kinds of major problems with the car that ends up costing a FORTUNE. And because they know that the average consumer does not know enough about cars, they feel they can tell you to jump, and all you'll do is ask how high? I gave them "ok" for friendliness, but it's easy to be friendly to a customer when you know you are about to rob them blind. The latest (and last) incident, my husband took the car in for an oil change/inspection. They claimed they could not pass inspection for the car because supposedly the power steering rack was leaking. Now mind you, this was a part that we had replaced (brand new) less two years prior (cost us $1265). This part should last for at least 150K miles and PJ Chrysler says the part only has warranty for one year. Meanwhile, they're telling us that we need to replace it after 30K miles of use on the new one (the car only had 50K miles when we changed it the first time!), so we told them not to do the inspection, brought it to my friend's husband who is a mechanic only to find...wait for it...wait for it...THE PART IS NOT LEAKING. AT. ALL. WTFFFFFFFFFFF???!!!??? PJ Chrysler told us it would cost at least $1500 to fix when there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. And now we are left wondering how many other things we have paid unnecessarily for. We spend a good $6000 on repairs with this company over 3 years. THREE YEARS. On a car that has under 90K and is not driven hard. These guys are crooks and they will smile in your face while stealing your hard earned money on crap that doesn't need repairs. Once you break that trust and know you have been ripped off, there is no coming back from that. This is a case of blatantly lying to us and telling us we need service on something that did not need service for at all. We would hate for anyone to go through that. Also keep in mind that this dealership's service dept charges $120/hr for labor. That is ridiculously expensive. Unbelievable. I am so disgusted. I'm going to put in a complaint to consumer affairs as well. I would put one in to BBB but they are not accredited with them. Ha! Go figure. More
We first went in looking for a new jeep, after a wrangler was out of our price range we agreed upon a Liberty. After doing a little further shopping, this dealership gave us an offer we couldn't refuse. Scot was out of our price range we agreed upon a Liberty. After doing a little further shopping, this dealership gave us an offer we couldn't refuse. Scott was nice and Charlie was very friendly and helpful and is highly recommended. I do feel like they tried to help us the best of their ability. We had one little mishap with the loan officer but they were quick to clear up the problem and am ultimately pleased. More
