Recent service I dropped off my Porsche early on a Thursday for routine, annual service and was told my car would be ready for pick-up by the end of the day. No one from the dealer called me by 5:00 p.m. so I called them. After being shuttled to several people, they told me the service would be completed until the next day. I had not heard from them by 10:00 a.m. on Friday so I called again. After a couple of transfers, they told me the service was done and the car was ready to be picked up. When I got to the dealer, I noticed my service adviser was overwhelmed with work while the two or three others did not seem nearly as busy. After a wait of less than 5 minutes, my car was delivered to the pick-up spot. As far as I can tell, the actual work performed was appropriate and done well. My complaint is with the delay. If the service department was that busy, they should not have scheduled the appointment. Once they determined by car would not be ready on Thursday as promised, someone should have called to inform me (if not my busy service adviser, then a different adviser or the not-too-busy receptionist). When the car was ready on Friday, someone should have call me, rather than I having to call them to inquire. This latest experience is not typical of my overall experience with the dealer and the service department. They did provide me with a complimentary loaner Porsche vehicle. More

Service this Exceptional is Rare For over a year I have craved owning a new Porsche Panamera. I visited Tysons Corner and had the good fortune of arrriving at the desk of Pat Driscol For over a year I have craved owning a new Porsche Panamera. I visited Tysons Corner and had the good fortune of arrriving at the desk of Pat Driscoll. Pat immediately listened. Actually listened. He weighed my thoughts, my timelines and my financial needs. He carefully guided me through options, colors and features. He took an enormous amount of time with me, never acting rushed or looking across the lot for other fish. All of this, even though he new that I could not pull the trigger for another year. He made a note to reach out to me and like a fine clock, when the bell struck a year later my phone rang. We spent hours going over building the car I would love. He dissuaded me from expensive options he felt I did not need or ultimately want. He provide examples of others who had one experience or the other. Financing was hardly an issue—he worked without a tussle to get the best price for me he could. The car arrived this week and he personally delivered it to my office, given my impossible schedule. Amazing. I love the car, but the key to happiness is not stuff it is experiences.
