My wife brought her vehicle in because the engine was making horrible sound and misfiring. "Luckily" for her, this Porsche dealership was only 10 min away. They were able to take her car immediately th making horrible sound and misfiring. "Luckily" for her, this Porsche dealership was only 10 min away. They were able to take her car immediately that afternoon, which was great. Her car has 30k miles on it and is still under warranty. The first diagnosis we were told by Aaron was that the spark plugs were improperly installed. She just had them recently replaced at another Porsche dealership. We got a video sent to us showing us a "damaged" spark plug. The spark plugs were replaced and the test showed that there were still misfires. The next step was to pressure test and replace the injector. There were misfires on 1, 3, 5 and 6. Aaron told us that they needed to have the injectors shipped, so we waited for them to arrive. However, in the video sent, Jonathan, the tech says they had 1 injector in stock, so they only replaced 1 and then tested. This is not the same as what Aaron told us. After the test, there were still misfires and now there was "dark oil" in the cylinders and on the spark plugs. These were not present when the car was brought in nor were they present in Jonathan's first video. We were told that another pressure test had to be performed and they were still trying to figure out what is going on. Finally, we got a call from Aaron telling us that they've been in touch with "Germany" throughout the entire process. That was one reason he mentioned was causing this process to take so long. "Germany" told them to test the gas and it turns out it was contaminated. However, in Jonathan's video, he mentions that he and his foreman, at the last minute, they both decided to check to see if the fuel was the problem. Again, not the same as what Aaron told us. Aaron told us that we would need to replace all the injectors, new spark plugs, the engine would need to be removed, the gas tank removed and cleaned as part of removing and replacing the fuel. He gave us a verbal quote of $7k to do this. I contested that it is more simple to remove to fuel than what he described and new injectors were not necessary. He said, even if the injectors did not need to be replace, the engine would need to be removed since the only way to get gas out of the gas tank was to remove the entire gas tank. I contested that the gas tank is in the front of the vehicle and it did not need to be removed and the fuel line could be removed and gas drained out from there instead of removing the entire gas tank. We waited over a week for the fuel to be removed. Aaron told us that they need a barrel to dispose of the fuel and they were waiting for their private provider to deliver it. So, the vehicle sat there without being worked on for a week. Once the barrel arrived, it took an additional two days before the new fuel could be placed and the vehicle could be tested. Aaron could not give us a reason for this delay. No new injectors were installed. We were told the vehicle passed the test and we could pick up the vehicle. At no time were we given a written estimate and I ended up asking for it. Part of the approx $5k estimate showed a single line item for removing the fuel and 12 hours of labor. I asked Aaron to give me the breakdown for the 12 hours of labor and he wrote a description of work that does not add up to 12 hours of work. He also insisted that the fuel tank had to be removed and the inside of it cleaned. We were also charged for 22 spark plugs, which I have no idea how they came up with that number. The cost should have been much less since 6 fuel injectors is approx $2k, not including labor. All in all, the vehicle was in their shop 3 weeks and 2 days, when it should not have been that long. No written estimate though he claims to have spoken to my wife about a secondary estimate, which is untrue. Aaron is a very polite person, but with all the inconsistencies, he cannot be trusted. More
I absolutely love Aaron, my service rep. However, since November's 40k mile service appointment, I have lost faith & trust with the mechanics and the shop foreman. After the 40k mile service However, since November's 40k mile service appointment, I have lost faith & trust with the mechanics and the shop foreman. After the 40k mile service was done, I picked up my car and noticed a grinding noise that was not there when I dropped it off. I told Aaron & eventually brought the car back. One of the guys drove it & heard the noise but said they needed to keep the car & I couldn't leave it that day because they didn't have a loaner. I finally was able to leave it and they found the cv axle had leaked out all of the grease and the boot had been cut. They sent me a video of it. I asked them how this could have been missed during the 40k service since they had the car up on the hoist & sent me video of the car up during the 40k mile service appt. They didn't know how they could have missed all that grease leaking out of the cv axle AND let me drive it out of there like that and not be able to get me back in for weeks. How was it the noise wasn't there before the 40k mile service and immediately after I picked it up, it is? How did the boot get cut & leak out all of the grease and no one saw it? There's still no answer. Cost of 40k mile service which left me off worse than before I brought it in? $2024.53 I eventually got back in and they replaced the CV axle (one or both? Not sure) and said they drove it and no noise was heard. All better now I was told. Cost of this repair? $2756.63 Now I'm down $4781 since November 20th. I drive it out of your shop and as soon as I get on the highway I hear the noise again just like before. I could not believe it. I was livid. I texted Aaron and told him. He said they drove it and it was quiet. But it was not quiet at all. So I just paid almost $3k and the problem still existed. The next appt was made for 1/24 and canceled the same day because there was no car available. I finally was able to leave it on 1/26. On 1/29 I'm told this: Okay so my tech and shop foreman both drove the vehicle and they did not hear anything abnormal. They did verify everything is okay at this time, my shop foreman did verify that the axles since are brand new did need to be relubricated which he took care of, it seemed that when the vehicle got to a certain speed the lack of lubrications would make the sounds. Thankfully nothing abnormal was found. - Aaron I couldn't believe it. My response was this: Ok please make sure they drove it at least 20 mins between speeds of 45-80 mph and they will absolutely hear it. I drove it to Tampa Wednesday night and it was loud all night. Radio off and air down and they will hear it. It's loud and constant between those speeds. Or maybe you can drive it. But drive it to Altamonte and back and you will hear it. So Aaron went with the shop foreman on Tuesday and I got this response: Good news! We got the noise, it is a bushing that got worn out from your upper suspension when the axle was leaking grease. Right now it isn't anything that is pressing to replace nor a drivability issue. Looks like the axle was a 2 step repair unfortunately but the axle definitely needed to be done over all. - Aaron So this meant to me that they missed the bushing that was worn out and causing the loud grinding noise that I was hearing that they said didn't exist at all but eventually they did hear it when I begged them to drive it again. And why won't they just fix it? I'm assuming because they would have to remove all of what they did, fix the one bushing causing the noise and then replace everything and try to charge me all over again. So instead, they did this: The axle grease I am still at awe how he did not notice it, trust me I gave him an earful on that. The grease was quite a bit. I am getting a quote made right now just so you would know but again nothing to really jump at at this time. Honestly I would not do any of the repairs, none of them are near the point of replacing and need to be addressed asap. More

It wasn't a big job for them, but they took time to mount them carefully, and listened to my request of where to mount the weights. Most importantly, they did the job scratch free. A+ More
