Service Personnel was excellent, BUT still feel disappointed On the positive end, Ryan Rioux, Chris Swist, and John Kitzmiller were more than personable and professional with me. For friendliness, professionali On the positive end, Ryan Rioux, Chris Swist, and John Kitzmiller were more than personable and professional with me. For friendliness, professionalism, and their collective sense of Porsche-related expertise, I give this dealership & service center FIVE STARS. My criticism / disappointment: The #1 reason I drove from Northwest Indiana to Orland Park was because I just purchased a pre-owned 2008 Porsche Boxster (Base model) from Chignoli Auto Sales in Joliet, IL on March 14, 2019. I had an independent auto mechanic do a pre-purchase inspection on the vehicle (from LemonSquad.com), and he reported no major areas of concern. But a few days after purchasing the vehicle, I have been repeatedly receiving three error messages on my dashboard: 1) The red "Brake" light has been coming on at different times while I am driving, suggesting that my parking brake is active and engaged, even though it is inactive and disengaged; 2) A red "Service wear on brake pads" warning has been coming on at different times while I am driving, suggesting that my brake pads need to be replaced in the very near future; 3) A white "Check passenger's seat air bag setting" warning has been coming on quite frequently while I am driving, suggesting that something is wrong with my passenger seat airbag I knew about #3 when I first purchased the car from Chignoli, but they said all I needed to do was move my passenger seat up a bit and that message would go away (which has worked 90% of the time). But I wanted Orland Park Porsche to investigate and hopefully correct and eliminate #1 and #2. Chris informed me that #1, #2, and more-than-likely #3 were to due to low-voltage problems with my car battery, and he suggested I purchase a new battery, which I did. Chris also recommended that I replace my brake pads when I reach somewhere between 38,000 and 40,000 miles (right now, my car has approximately 34,000 miles). Well, after spending $829.24 (diagnostic fee + new battery) with Orland Park Porsche, I am still experiencing problems with #1, #2, and #3. #3 I don't mind too much, but I am bothered by #1 and #2. I now feel like that $829.24 was pretty much a waste of money, even though I am now the owner of a brand new car battery (but since I just purchased my car roughly a week ago, I don't feel like I should have had to purchase a new battery this quick). Again, I don't have any harsh criticisms for Ryan, Chris, or John. They treated me well, and none of them "forced me" to get my car checked and/or to purchase a new battery. Both were my choice. But I just now feel like this was pretty much a wasted trip. More
