I recently discussed a purchase for a 2025 Panamera 4 to trade in my vehicle, and I was surprised by their valuation process. They appraised my car at $15,000 less than its market value while pricing their trade in my vehicle, and I was surprised by their valuation process. They appraised my car at $15,000 less than its market value while pricing their own vehicle at an inflated rate—an additional $12,000 above what I had expected based on current market trends. This pricing discrepancy made it impossible for me to move forward with the deal. From day one I had been honest and transparent but the salesman took advantage of the circumstances where as he solely chose to share comps for my vehicle and not his to attempt to take advantage of the excess of $25,000 they were going to make had I not been an educated buyer. Transparency in pricing is essential for trust, and I hope this dealership re-evaluates its approach to provide fair trade-in values. More
