My service advisor, Natasha was so professional, friendly and knowledgeable. She communicated with me throughout the day via text, even sending a video from Alejandro which showed the details of the condition of and service needed on my car. I have visited a lot of car dealerships and have never experienced anything as completely delightful as this. HIGHLY recommend Porsche Irvine. More
Not for the first time, my 2021 Boxster was "serviced" for problems with the PCM, specifically the frequent failure to operate Apple CarPlay, and less frequent but still annoying (and unsafe) failure to d for problems with the PCM, specifically the frequent failure to operate Apple CarPlay, and less frequent but still annoying (and unsafe) failure to display the backup camera video when in reverse. This visit to the dealership was preceded by a half hour drive with the PCM displaying only "Loading Home," after which I made a video of the "Loading Home" display for another 20 minutes. This video and another demonstrating that no matter how many times I engaged reverse there was no backup video on the PCM, was provided to the dealer on a USB drive to verify my claims. Upon retrieving the car, Apple CarPlay (with my iPhone 13 connected with a genuine Apple Lightning cable) refused to work for the duration of the drive home. The first time I engaged reverse there was no video from the backup camera. Granted, intermittent problems with electronic devices are difficult to diagnose and fix. All that would be required to get this Boxster working as the factory folks intended is to remove two upholstered pieces on the center console, remove four Torx screws that secure the PCM into the center stack, and unplug the cables. Reverse the sequence with a new PCM. I specifically requested that this be done. It wasn't. More
