The people are trying their best but the help from corporate and spare parts are lacking. My car was in the shop for over a month to solve a charging problem which is not acceptable. corporate and spare parts are lacking. The only downside for this otherwise awesome experience was the dealership not open on Sunday for delivery. Everyone I interacted with was courteous, professional, and respectful of my time. Lack of concern of my presence in location. Ended up driving over to the Volvo location as I was confused by the lack of anyone coming over to greet me and thought I was in the wrong place. The Ended up driving over to the Volvo location as I was confused by the lack of anyone coming over to greet me and thought I was in the wrong place. The slow level of urgency was carried over while at the Volvo dealership where I was seated, told to wait for assistance, ending up walking out after 30 minutes of waiting. During my drive to another dealer decided to call Volvo to schedule an appointment to speak with a salesperson (thought it would be best as I was ignored while there). Was informed that I should head back to Midtown Polestar to be assisted. Drove back to Midtown Polestar, finally being assisted and leaving a deposit after a test drive. Was told I could pick up the car in about a week, with the pickup going as smoothly as my initial interaction. After arriving at the agreed upon time, completing the financial process; with suggestions to purchase warranties as it is a “luxury” vehicle with higher than normal operating costs. Only mention this as after waiting for about an hour after the scheduled pickup time the car is still being prepared. Once inside the car the same musty smell from the test drive is there, leading me to state that the car has not been cleaned. After being explained that they do not offer that level of cleaning before purchase by the salesman he discovers the previous owner’s registration in the glove box. I guess my level of cleanliness, or just about anyone’s is too high as it involves checking the glove box. Putting all of this aside I accept the car and drive home. After 30 minutes of travel a “Coolant system service required” warning. After doing some research to determine where the coolant reservoir is I find that shared battery coolant level is below the minimum level marked on the expansion tank. The facts of the car being presented as ready for pickup while being filthy, still containing the previous owners registration in the glove box and then subsequently displaying coolant service messages makes question what was actually certified before this “luxury” car was sold to me. Reached out to the salesman, whom forwards my email to start the process anew an informs me to contact the service department to setup an appointment. Great, first weekend with the vehicle and I have to schedule a service visit. More
