I bought my Honda Pilot from Rosenthal Honda in 2003, and was assigned Pete Herman's blue team. I dealt with Pete for every service and repair issue, and felt treated fairly, helped with my car. Then Pete le was assigned Pete Herman's blue team. I dealt with Pete for every service and repair issue, and felt treated fairly, helped with my car. Then Pete left Rosenthal Honda. I brought my car back was astonished and very unhappy Pete wasn't there, but tried the guy who replaced him. Disaster. Sleazy character I wouldn't trust at all. So I left ROsenthanl and went to a Honda dealer near my house: Brown's, in Arlington. But they don't assign owners to teams and every time I was there (only 3) I got a different lead guy, who had no idea who I was, or what car I had. I hated it. Also, the waiting room was loud and cramped, not good for doing the work I needed to do while waiting. When something mysterious went wrong with my Pilot on Dec 20, I called Brown's, wasn't sure whom to talk with, was sent between several people, hated that, they wouldn't give me a loaner car and I thought "THAT'S IT, I'm GOING TO FIND PETE HERMAN!" thank goodness for GOOGLE! I googled "Pete Herman" and "Honda" and a rave review about Pete's customer service turned up for Bill Page Honda, so I called them. No, Pete had left, and was now at Pohanka Acura. I called Pohanka and was thrilled to be connected with Pete. Despite the VERY long drive from Arlington, it is worth driving to Pohanka, to be able to deal with Pete for car repairs. Also, Pohanka has a MUCH nicer waiting area, seems much more helpful and friendly than Browns. I'm very happy! More
I came for a wheel lock and to change the flat tire to Spare, which doesnot take 15 minutes outside dealer. After one hour they took my SUV inside there they took almost one and half hour. Once I come out Spare, which doesnot take 15 minutes outside dealer. After one hour they took my SUV inside there they took almost one and half hour. Once I come out I experienced a issue with the vehicle which used to run fine. I have noticed similar kind of issues with this dealer particularly when ever I come for a oil change. Some times they give wrong advises with out knowing I have replaced the brakes , all Oils. When I asked to prove they just say Ignore it. One time they broke or replaced the broken mount .There are several times it happened to me and I stopped going to Pohanka Acura service becuase they made lose thousands fo dollors in repairing. It was running nice and I used outside dealers like Sears, Other Honda Mechanic, It was running without any issues. Now when I came for to change to spare tire, Its a clear indication they damaged my vehicle. They lost a customer who has planned to buy ZDX or MDX. I am going to Acura every week and collecting the experiences from the customers and I am going to take legal action Once I gather another five customers who has the same experience with them More

I purchased my new Acura MDX from Freddie Hamad a few months ago. He was excellent! I shopped with him and other dealerships in the area. They were not as impressive and they tried to sell me a car I months ago. He was excellent! I shopped with him and other dealerships in the area. They were not as impressive and they tried to sell me a car I didn't want (color, less features) for more money. Freddie got me the car of my dreams and met the price I wanted! I appreciate the professionalism and excellent customer service Freddie and the rest of the Pohanka chantilly group provided! I've had my car quite a few months now and it's still the best!! Thank you Freddie! More
Basically, this is Part II of my buying experience with Pohanka (Chantilly). After Bill Kemavor and Jamal Edmonds made it possible for me to drive off of their lot in what I thought was a vehicle that I Pohanka (Chantilly). After Bill Kemavor and Jamal Edmonds made it possible for me to drive off of their lot in what I thought was a vehicle that I would hold onto for a very long time (MDX Touring w/DVD)...boy was I in for a surprise! After having repair work done to my MDX -- I was given a loaner (2010 TSX). I clearly remeber ranting about how cool that loaner car was. I joked with the service technicians about not turning in the key to the TSX because it was a pretty cool car. But the best is yet to come. The second time around...I took my MDX in for repair, a young male that works in the customer service department (I think his name is Jared?) had remembered me driving the TSX loaner car. So...he suggested another vehicle of my choice. And through that choice I heard him clearly say, "ZDX". I asked him if I heard him correctly in that I could drive a 2010 ZDX (black in color)as a loaner car. Jard assured me and asked if I wanted one with or without navigation. I was in such shock about being able to drive the MDX home that I settled for the one without navigation. I drove the ZDX home that night and returned that next night. This time...I REALLY did NOT want to return that car (ZDX). I held onto the keys until the customer service reps got tired of laughing at me about it. For the life of me...I did not want to return the keys to that 2010 (black) ZDX! *Thanks Jared* =) I mentioned this experience to Bill Kemavor and Jamal (who had previously worked with me to get in a MDX...just 4 months ago). So...yesterday....Bill and Jamal worked their "magic" once again. They made what I thought would never happen....happen! Let me just say that I am now a proud owner of what was a "dream car" to me...a few months ago!! I never would have thought that I would be in a ZDX so soon. I am beyond happy and I totally love my ZDX (even without the fancy upgrades of Navi, push button engine starter, etc...). The base model is just as enjoyable. Bill and Jamal made me feel like I had won the lottery. I was waiting for a press conference to follow (lol). Seriously, I highly recommend this dealership--with emphasis on the fantastic two---Bill Kemavor and Jamal Edmonds. And a special thanks to Jared (I think that is his name) in customer service. You opened my eyes to....my "dream car". Thank you. Jamal, thank you for throwing in the splashguards. The ZDX looks perfect!!!! I wish I could have all business experiences like the ones I have had at Pohanka. Thanks Pohanka (Chantilly)...for hiring such professional, knowledgeable and courteous staff! More

First, I apologize for not doing this earlier. I am a "senior citizen". Cars are my passion, and I have bought a lot of cars, and I do mean a lot. This was one of my best experiences, by far. Makis pr "senior citizen". Cars are my passion, and I have bought a lot of cars, and I do mean a lot. This was one of my best experiences, by far. Makis probably deals with more than 50 persons during the course of a business day and he listened to me as if I was the first and told me choices of the Acura I described would be rolled out when I got to the dealer. He introduced me to Abdul who treated me with greate interest, courtesy and respect. He is very knowledgeable about the Acura. He walked me through all the great features. Makis kept checing back to see how I was doing. Well, I thought I wanted an Acura MDX when I came in and during my time with these two gentlement, I knew I did and bought one. Then I worked with Ray who knows as much as anyone I have met about the financial areas. Later, I worked with Jamal who is a wealth of knowledge about financial, services and you name it. Overall, it was my best car buying experience, ever. Now wouldn't you know it that I have a significant rattle when I go over some bumps. Brought car in. Service person said we will do what you want, but the repair will take significant work and perhaps when you bring it in for service, we can do the whole thing and give you a loaner. I liked that he gave ME the choice. But I hate rattles particuarly in a car that should not have one. So, I will try to wait, but the service guy WAS giving me reasonable choices. One area I think could be done. I bought door edging and rear bumper guard. Still have them in the box because it will cost me $120 to have each one installed. I suggest that when a customer buys a new luxury SUV like the Acura, that you give 90 days for them to buy accessories that will be installed free. T. M. Williams More
Facing a recommended transmission replacement for our '03 MDX with 63K miles because of a bad torque converter, we had negotiated an agreement through Acura Client Services for Acura to cover 90% of the repa MDX with 63K miles because of a bad torque converter, we had negotiated an agreement through Acura Client Services for Acura to cover 90% of the repair cost. We were leery, though, of continuing on with the '03 because the "new" torque converter would be the same OEM torque converter as the one that went bad and I understand from various MDX owner postings on various websites that the same problem was likely to recur. We also knew we would likely be facing other steep repair costs due to the age of our '03. Because we bought the '03 from Radley Acura in Falls Church (and religiously had it serviced their ever since), we initially went back to them in the hopes of negotiating a deal on a new MDX, which deal was to include a trade in value for the '03 that ingnored the transmission issue. After some frustrating back and forth, and an increasing feeling that Radley simply did not value our patronage, past or present, we reached an impasse that boiled down to a mere $300 difference in what we were willing to pay and what they were apparently willing to accept. At that point, we gave Pohanka a call and talked over the phone with Kirk Scwartz, sales manager. We explained the entire situation to him and the deal we were attempting to negotiate with Radley and he offered us over the phone the same deal, but for nearly $1,000 less than what Radley was offering. There was no pressure, no "you must come in and take this deal now" ultimatum, which we were starting to get from Radley (especially with the end of the month approaching). Instead, Kirk told us to take our time and think it over. Days later when we were able to go in person to Pohanka, Kirk was true to his word and the deal he offered over the phone was the deal he wrote up. Nothing more, nothing hidden, no pressure to add other things to drive the price up, none of that. It was a fantastic experience and it really smoothed over the hard feelings we had over the torque converter/transmission issue and the battle we had to wage with Acura and Radley to get them to fairly deal with that problem. In addition to Kirk, Donavan Lewis also helped us out and it was a pleasure to work with him too. I wish we had explored Pohanka as an option years ago when we purchased the '03. In light of all of this, I think we will be relying on Pohanka going forward to service our new '11. More
