I went to Plaza after negotiating the price of a new Odyssey with two dealerships in NJ, figuring that if I could get a local dealer to match I'd save myself the time and aggravation of driving an hour Odyssey with two dealerships in NJ, figuring that if I could get a local dealer to match I'd save myself the time and aggravation of driving an hour to buy the car. This was during Honda's 0/0/0/0 promotion, and with the deadline approaching I wanted to get out and grab one before it expired. I made it very clear on my way in I had shopped the vehicle and had received specifics on a deal, including the VIN on the car at the other dealership. The salesman I spoke with (don't recall his name), said that the deal was 'impossible', but he'd see what he could do. He came back minutes later with a deal roughly 10% away from what I had managed, so in the interest of getting it done I decided I might just give up and take the more expensive deal. What happened next was outrageous - first, after specifically telling him the terms I had received (a 36 month lease), they tried to slip past me that the deal they offered, at 10% more per month, also had 3 more months to it, something I didn't want. After the customary joke of 'let me check with my manager', they went back to 36. I had gone so far as to take out my credit card for the deposit, when I noticed I'd be charged the first month's payment; the whole point of the promotion, to have no first month's payment up front (just dealer fees and sales taxes). When I asked why I was being charged the first month, I got 'oh, I see - you wanted the promotion'. No kidding - I mentioned that my interest was tied specifically to that promotion from the get-go. And then, I was told that if I did want it, all of the numbers would change, and go up. Needless to say, I'm less disappointed by the inability to meet the price than I am by the ridiculous attempts to stick me with extra payments, to try and capitalize on a promotion instead of passing it on to the customer, and overall dishonesty. The sad part is as I was walking out, they cut their price by 5%. Had they been upfront about what they were charging, I would probably have paid even more than that and left happy. My extended family, many of whom are Honda fans (I'm indifferent to Honda), would've been a good revenue stream for them, and like me they'll be going to Jersey from now on. More
I came into this shop know what i want already, a black pilot. Was met with Wilky Joseph, very accommodating and friendly with people skills. I went to Plaza Honda on 12/18/09 to purchase a 2010 Honda Accord and within a few short hours, I had accomplished my mission. I fully read all reviews for this dealership and here is my story which is completely opposite from most. I have nothing to do with this dealership other then purchasing a new car. Well to start off, I was greeted at the door by a helpfull and friendly smile. The general manager MR. Mele introduced himself and went out of his way to make my family as relaxed as possible. The sales guy Charlie showed me all the cars I wanted to see and answered all my questions with ease. I then chose a 2010 Honda Accord which was in stock an availible for purchase that same day. In what was only a few hours I was on the road with my new car with not one complaint and left a very happy customer. This is by far the best dealership I have purchased a car from new or used and would highly recommend them to any family or friend looking for a car. More
Just visit plaza auto mall dealership today (Aug 30, 2009) cause they gave me quote($31599) for a honda pilot ex-l. when I got there and talking to the sale person he added $710 destination plus $530 p 2009) cause they gave me quote($31599) for a honda pilot ex-l. when I got there and talking to the sale person he added $710 destination plus $530 prep fee total of $32839 for car not include other fees. Never seem prep fee on all the new cars I purchaed and he keep saying is that is how much they charge customers on the prep fee. He did not even consider of lower this prep fee even I told him I will purchase the car on the spot. I also visited other honda dealership to check out the price on the same car and all they added was the $710 destination fee and other dealership even added the fee to the price of the car. Some dealerships do add the prep fee but if you tell them you have purchase new cars before and they usually drop that fee. I think this prep fee is for the sale person themself. I also spoke with another sales person about two weeks ago and he gave me the price for the same car of $33300 which includes all the fee he said. I told him I wanted to purchase two cars and ask him if he can do something about the price. He told me the price will not go any lower even if I was purchasing 10 cars. More
I went here to look for a car for my wife. They were very friendly and helped me answer all my questions. I also wanted a center arm console...I was promised they (plaza) would order it, but I have not heard back from them. I complained to Honda Usa, they took my complaint and sent them an internal email. Plaza called me 5 days later claiming they wanted to resolve my issue. What a joke! These guys are sooo unprofessional! I would never buy another car there and I live about six blocks from Plaza. More
purchased 2009 Honda Accord EX-L from Plaza Honda on 02/16/2009. It was one of the most enjoyable experiences that I have had when purchasing a new car.The sales associate, David Petri, was patient and 02/16/2009. It was one of the most enjoyable experiences that I have had when purchasing a new car.The sales associate, David Petri, was patient and provided me with all the details I needed and was a pleasure to work with. He quickly located the EX-L and the exact color I wanted. Considering other Honda dealerships that I contacted lied to get me to visit their dealerships hoping to change my mind on the model i wanted and the color. David Petri did not pressure me and told me to take my time when deciding. He even encouraged me not to rush into the purchase until i felt confident. Dave Petri wanted me to call other dealerships before i purchasing from Plaza Honda. Taking the advice of Mr. Petri's, I decided to think it over and call other dealerships once more so i could compare prices and not one came close to what Plaza Honda offered. The next day, feeling confident after doing more research, I went back to Plaza Honda to purchase the 2009 Honda Accord EX-L. The whole process took about an hour and I even opened a Plaza Auto Mall credit card so I could upgrade on accessories that i wanted but didn't want to add to my final loan. David Petri explained that by opening a Plaza Auto Mall Credit Card, I would have 6 months to pay off the amount without having to pay interest on the total amount of the car loan, which brought my monthly payments down a great deal. It has been close to six months since my purchase and I have paid my Plaza Auto Mall Credit Card off completed without interest as promised and now realizing that was the best decision i could have made. Plaza Honda changed my entire outlook on shopping for a new car. I have recommended Plaza Honda to a couple of relatives and to a dear close friend and all three purchased a car without a problem. Thank You, Plaza Honda, for treating my family and friend like a valued customer. PS I just recently used my Plaza Auto Mall Credit Card to purchase rims for my son's birthday. Also, my husband was finally able to get some much needed maintenance on his car without having to pay with cash. More
