Dr. Cain, I apologize for your experience in service, that is not what we strive for each day, and not what has gotten us to where we are today. Jeff has been with us for over 8 years and this is the first complaint of this kind that I can recall receiving. It does not forgive it, however that is not his typical interaction and I apologize for that. I know our Service Director, Jim, has spoken to you since and while we don't always like the information the General Motors gives us regarding the charging and expected miles, we can only do our best with the information that Technical Assistance provides us. We have the best EV team in Northern California and frequently receive tow-ins from surrounding dealers and their EV vehicles, as we have the most experience and know-how of any shop. The cold weather does affect the all electric range and charging and we receive many inquiries almost daily with similar questions. While General Motors, to my knowledge, has not released an official statement addressing weather related charging, such as "in temperatures of a certain degree you can expect up to an X% of charging disparity" it is a known item. What we have also experienced is that even though the vehicle shows 160 miles for example after charging, customer are stating that they are actually exceeding those miles when actually driving (possibly as the external temperature rises throughout the day). The BOLT is a phenomenal product for the money and I'm sure vehicle electrification will continue to grow and technology will grow with it and hopefully with that we will have a better defined answer to you question/concern regarding the overall weather related charging.
