I’ve bought/sold/traded-in a fair share of cars at multiple dealerships across several state lines and my experience with Planet Honda, NJ has been surreal. The level of communication and service was above and beyond. Frank was new to the company but was great to work with and hard working. Mike the manager was so professional and accommodating. Again went above and beyond to seal the deal and ensure I got the car in the best state possible (and then some). Mike and Frank deserve huge bonuses. Recommend this dealership over and over again. Steer clear of this dealership — it was one of the worst car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. They completely wasted my day with tactics that, in my opinion, feel manipulative and designed to pressure cust car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. They completely wasted my day with tactics that, in my opinion, feel manipulative and designed to pressure customers. They took my credit/debit card under the excuse of “showing the manager I was serious,” but it felt more like they were trying to hold it hostage to trap me into a deal. When I mentioned I had my own financing, the attitude shifted immediately. It was obvious they were far more interested in pushing their own lenders—presumably because it benefits them, not the customer. The whole environment felt shady enough that I walked out without buying anything. I’ve already reported my experience to the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.. In my opinion, the glowing Google reviews look questionable at best. Do yourself a favor and check their Yelp reviews if you want a more realistic picture of what you’re walking into. My advice? Stay far, FAR away from this place. More

Purchased a 2022 camry hybrid in August of 2025. Planet has been unwilling or unable to forward the title, register it and pay the sales tax. The 2nd set of temp tags has just expired (60 days total) and Planet claims it will take another 2 - 3 weeks to complete the transaction. Have been getting the run around since August. If I have to park the car or get a ticket, I will hold them responsible. Truly deplorable customer service as well as a violation of DMV regulations. I'm about to escalate my complaint to the NJ DMV and Attorney General. In effect Planet has defrauded me out of more than $20,000. Not happy to say the least More
Some of their methods are standard with other dealers. Like they make it sound like you have to pay fees for Nitrogen and Key insurance. They’ll claim the car is going to auction, so they don’t care if you buy it. What sets them apart from other dealers is; A deal that I struck one day was not honored the next day. Wait more than a few days, and they may ad a $1250 loyalty fee for not buying a car there in the last year. They won’t make the 4 tires match by brand, although it’s required for honda certification. But later on, they’ll do it. If a dealership can be bi-polar, then that’s what Planet honda is. I’m not an emotional buyer. But, I couldn’t give this dealership my business. And in reality, I wasn’t confident that the deal we struck, on the most recent email, was what would be honored, when i went in to pay for the car. More
