Never before have I been to a car dealer that basically told us "Go shop somewhere else." We were interested in a car that was not on the lot (a manual transmission). They made it clear that either we sh told us "Go shop somewhere else." We were interested in a car that was not on the lot (a manual transmission). They made it clear that either we should buy a car without driving it, or promise to buy it if they got one from another dealer for a test drive. Never been treated so rudely in my life. Beyond that, the salesperson was overbearing, asked canned questions and didn't listen to the answers. Obviously not only will I never return there but I will tell all my friends to avoid it as well. I lease a new car every three years. I am looking for a good price with little hassle. Carousel wouldn't give a specific price over the phone. Had to play the game once in the dealer to get a good price. T good price with little hassle. Carousel wouldn't give a specific price over the phone. Had to play the game once in the dealer to get a good price. They did come up with a good price but I got a better price elsewhere in writing by email with no haggling. When I tried to get them to match it they were angry and claimed I was being lied to by the other dealer. They also bad mouthed a different dealer. More
Visited Carousel Hyundai in July 2010 looking for a 2011 Sonata. Could not get a specific price from the sales manager, Bill, and was told to come back when I was ready to purchase. Shortly after I so Sonata. Could not get a specific price from the sales manager, Bill, and was told to come back when I was ready to purchase. Shortly after I solicited an internet quote from another dealership and then contacted Bill to see if Carousel could match the price. (I preferred to buy from Carousel since it was the closest Hyundai dealership to my home.) They would not discuss the price over the phone, but told me to stop in and they would "get the deal done". When I visited Carousel I was told by a salesperson (Bill was "busy" with another customer) that the internet price I received was not accurate and that the other dealership would raise the price by including an advertising fee and a high demand model premium. They could have easily communicated to me over the phone that they were not willing to sell the car to me at the competing price and saved me time and frustration. I did buy the car from another dealership at about $800 less shortly after my dealings with Carousel and was extremely happy with the other dealership's (Conicelli) straighforward approach. The time I spent dealing with Carousel was a waste. More
I have now purchsed two cars through this dealership and Mike. Their price was good and the service Mike provided was second to none. He and the Sales Manager, Bill, worked incredibly hard to find the car I Mike. Their price was good and the service Mike provided was second to none. He and the Sales Manager, Bill, worked incredibly hard to find the car I wanted in the color I wanted. They found the car in New York and secured it for me. Every time I called Mike I either spoke with him or he immedialtely returned the call. Several times on his way home. Here is a part that tells you something about the entire dealership. I even spoke to the owner. Yes Jim returned my call and I only wanted to tell him my second very positive in his dealership. Oh, and the service daprtment works very well too. Could you ask for more? We purchased 07 Sonata new from this dealer and have found service to be poor. The service dept oversells unnecessary service and equipment, browbeats customers to give them "10" ratings on surveys, an found service to be poor. The service dept oversells unnecessary service and equipment, browbeats customers to give them "10" ratings on surveys, and generally provides inferior customer service. Our Check Engine light has been a problem from the beginning and we get a different song and dance explanation each time the car goes in for service. They actually entered activity on the invoice that was not performed. On one occasion, when I completed the survey from Hyundai, although I gave them many "10s" I could not rate some things a 10, e.g. their waiting room is dumpy, the overall quality of the car is less than a 10 rating. Soon after, my wife took the car in for yet another issue with the Check Engine light and the Service Advisor rudely confronted her about the survey, which she had no knowledge of. She was embarrassed and frustrated. At this point, we have decided never to do business with Carousel Hyundai again, and we will proactively urge family, friends, and neighbors to go elsewhere. More
I bought my car at this dealership because they raved about how good and inclusive their service department was. I have had nothing but headaches from them for the last three years. The first time was about how good and inclusive their service department was. I have had nothing but headaches from them for the last three years. The first time was when they told me I needed new brakes. I wasn't going to have them replace them because my fiance can do it for the cost of the part. The service department told me they would cut my roters anyway. They did a terrible job, and cut them completely unevenly. As a result I gave them a poor service review. From that point on, I have been harassed every time I take my car in about giving them a poor review. Most recently, they had my car for TEN DAYS to determine why it's stalling and not downshifting properly. While the problem occurred multiple times before it was taken in, they claimed they couldn't get it to repeat the problem in the whole ten days it was there. Ironically, immediately after I picked it up (they did nothing because they can't tell me what's wrong with it, but still charged me $50 for looking at it), it stalled, and the downshifting was worse than it was before I took it in. They also make you initial a sheet before you pay saying you will give them 100% on your survey or you'll call them and have them fix the problem first. To me, that defeats the purpose of a survey that is supposed to give Hyundai and the dealership feedback about what they're doing wrong! More
I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership that was newly inspected by their service department. Within two weeks I noticed a noise in the front end so I dropped it off to my local mechanic to check it newly inspected by their service department. Within two weeks I noticed a noise in the front end so I dropped it off to my local mechanic to check it out. He found that both front coil springs were rusted/rotted and broken. He told me that the car should never have passed inspection and was unsafe to drive. When I contacted the dealership they quickly transferred me to the service department where I was informed that this problem was not covered by the 3 month power train warranty that came with the car. After reminding them that I had purchased the car less than 2 weeks before and that they had supposedly inspected and certified this vehicle as safe to operate the service manager said "Let me see what I can do" and hung up. Without any communication to me they towed the vehicle from my local mechanic's shop back to their service department. When I called they said that parts were on order and that I would be contacted when it was done. My local mechanic recommended that the struts and assembly be replaced as well as the rotted/rusted coil springs but when I mentioned this to the service manager at the dealership he dismissed it and said they would decide what the car needed. Needless to say they did the bare minimum and replaced just the coil springs, pronouncing the struts, etc. as still in good shape. Remember this is the same service department that just two weeks before had placed a state inspection sticker on the windshield certifying the car as in good condition and safe to drive. Even though my purchase includes two free oil changes per year I will not be returning to this dealership. Especially not to use their service department. More
They didn't have the car I wanted, so it was brought in from an out of state dealership. I wasn't allowed to see the car until I'd signed all the paperwork. The car was damaged. I was given a loaner an from an out of state dealership. I wasn't allowed to see the car until I'd signed all the paperwork. The car was damaged. I was given a loaner and told I'd have another car soon. I did get another undamaged car half a week later. It took me around two months to get any kind of floor mat for the back. Not what I ordered when I bought the car. After repeatedly getting the run around someone pulled one out of a demo for me. Five months later now, my radio is still not operating correctly although I communicated numerous times to the dealership. More

I went to buy, and they didn't even try to work with me, music blaring (and I'm a musician!) When I told them what I wanted, the sales person walked away, came back, said there was nothing he could do and I music blaring (and I'm a musician!) When I told them what I wanted, the sales person walked away, came back, said there was nothing he could do and I left without even speaking to a manager. I then went to Colonial Hyundai on a reccomendation from a friend, and they bent over backwards to help me. I bought a Tucson that day! More
