I noticed antifreeze leaking from my wifes Explorer, turned out it was the water pump leaking. An appointment was made with Stacy Moffitt. I dropped the Explorer off at appointment time. Since I have an extended warranty and my vehicle was going to be in the shop longer than 24 hours I was supplied with a rental. Water pump was replaced. I was well pleased. More

My wife and I scheduled recall service on my Ford Fusion for Friday 1/22/21 over a month in advance. We dropped the car off the day before for convenience. Late in the day on Friday my wife called to enqu for Friday 1/22/21 over a month in advance. We dropped the car off the day before for convenience. Late in the day on Friday my wife called to enquire as to the progress of the service and found out that the parts had never been ordered in the first place but should arrive over the weekend. On Monday 1/25/21 when she had not heard anything she called the dealership. Whoever she spoke with informed her that in the process of fixing the recalled issue other parts were broken and that now all the doors would not close so the car was not drivable. My wife enquired about a loaner car and the service technician reported that that was not her job. My wife could be placed on a list but at this time there were no cars so there was nothing that could be done. Whatever was broken would have to be ordered and would take several days. We finally were informed that the car was ready to be picked up on Thursday 1/28/21. I understand that unexpected issues will arise. I also understand that things break. What I'm not sure that I understand is the lack of communication or the lack of respect. We certainly want to be very understanding and dispense grace when possible as I would want to be given to me. I have been a faithful Philpott customer for years. I've purchased 2 new and 1 used car from Philpott. I use the service dept. for many things and have never run into an issue like this one so I'm hoping this is an isolated event. I would say that overall the work was done to my satisfaction it just could have been handled in a much different way. More
