Awful Service Department I would like to share a recent experience I had with the service department at Phillips Chrysler. The clutch went out in my truck 3 days after my I would like to share a recent experience I had with the service department at Phillips Chrysler. The clutch went out in my truck 3 days after my father passed away. I ordered the parts and asked Derek in service to install them for me along with changing the oil, checking the braking system (draining the brake fluid if it was dirty) and torqueing the suspension system to factory spec. I dropped the truck off on November 20th with the expectation of picking it up when we returned from visiting family on the 26th. After driving 7 hours we picked up the truck from Phillips. While driving home I noticed that the gear shifter did not return to center. It just stayed to one side or the other and was very floppy. Derek had told me that he test-drove the truck (a few days earlier) and that it drove fine. Obviously, this was not true. I have worked on my truck extensively and knew immediately what the problem was. The technician disassembled the shifter instead of removing it entirely. Because of this lazy process he failed to reinstall the shifter adjustment plates. I found one of them under the driver’s side floormat and the other INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION. Luckily the adjustment plate had stuck itself to the side of the case and I could get it out with a magnet. If it had fallen inside the case further, there would have been catastrophic transmission failure. I told Derek what I found and he offered a meager apology. I let it go at that point. Until last night. I was on my way home from visiting my mom and I noticed a grinding sound from the front brakes. Upon further inspection the front pads had worn deep grooves into my brake rotors. This truck has 15" sports brakes and the system is very expensive to replace. Here is another example of Derek and his technician’s complete inability to do their job. I figured i'd check the brake fluid as well and found it to be very dark and dirty- they had not checked it like I asked. Frankly I cannot believe the treatment I have received from Philips. This careless approach to vehicle maintenance has completely destroyed any trust that I had with this company. I have known Derek for several years now and have attended many car shows with him and my other vehicles. I am appalled that a fellow "car-guy" would allow his namesake and reputation be tarnished because of a total lack of care and attention to detail. I never received a survey or phone call about my experience with Phillips Chrysler either. If I can offer any advice to current or would-be customers, Stay away from Phillips Chrysler Service department. More

Spent over $1000, and problem was never repaired Went to this dealer for repair, spent over $1000, didn’t even go 300 miles, and same problem occurred again. They do not fully inspect vehicles prior to realese to customers. 1. Were supposed to replace heater core. They replaced water pump and fluid ended up all over my floor 2. When replacing tipm they did not correctly wire it. Which made my fog light my turn signals. 3. Rear wind shield fluid came out the front. Each issue they released to me after saying the jeep was fix and ready. Not only did Derick the service person say it was ready but Gary also informed me even with high approval ratings they do have customer that get terrible issues from there service department like mine. They clearly understand they have issues but understand with them being the only Chrysler dealership withing an hour drive, they dont have to worry about customers. I strongly urge people to take the drive for better service. More

Customer Service Booked my vehicle for service, was told it would be a short wait time, ended up being 2.5 hours, when i asked for a time update on my car i was told Booked my vehicle for service, was told it would be a short wait time, ended up being 2.5 hours, when i asked for a time update on my car i was told " you can go walk into the mechanic shop and ask your self". Once my car was finished, no one came and got me, i had to find someone ( my car was left with key in it, unlocked, window rolled down). I had brought in a dealer discount printed from their website, yet was charged full price. When i asked about the discount i was told " this is the price". When i mentioned my frustration on check out and that i would be taking my business else where, i was told "that's fine". I would not recommend this dealership for their service work, their service department doesn't care about the customer. More
