Made me pay for a mistake they made I went to get my car fixed at Phillips Chevy earlier this summer. My car was shaking really badly when I would drive over 50 mph. I had been t I went to get my car fixed at Phillips Chevy earlier this summer. My car was shaking really badly when I would drive over 50 mph. I had been to another mechanic prior to going to Chevy but when they told me the types of repairs I needed I decided to take my car to the dealership to get it fixed. I figured I would spend a little more money but at least my car will be fixed right with a better warranty. I made an appointment for 8am and went in and waited with my car. After several hours had passed, I started to ask about the status of my car. I continued to ask as the hours passed by. I guess they got tired of me asking so they came back and told me what they thought was wrong with my car. The repair that they recommended was completely different from what the other mechanics that I had previously taken my car to suggested for me to get fix. However, I allowed them to do $686 repair because they are a dealership that sells my car. I figured they just had better diagnostic technology than the other shops I had been to. On my way home from my car being serviced, I noticed that it was still shaking once I reached 50 mph. I immediately called them back. They told me to bring my car in after I got off work the next day. When I arrived the next day, they took my car in. They had me sit there and wait for about two hours. I complained about waiting for so long again being that I had been there just the day before. I didn’t understand what was taking so long since they should have already known what the problem was. After all the waiting, they came back and told me that my car had a completely different problem that was causing the shaking from what they had told me the day before. It just so happened to be the same problem that the mechanics that I had taken my car to prior to coming to Phillips Chevy suggested me fix. That means they had me spend $686 on a repair that was not needed the day before because they did a rushed job after having me waiting for so long. They also told me I would have to make another appointment to come back in to have it fixed because they did not have the manpower there that late in the evening. I asked to speak to their manager because I did not feel I should have to pay for a mistake they made and I also did not think I should have to come back since this was an appointment that they scheduled. I talked to the manager, a really young guy name Dennis. BTW, all the mechanics who work at Phillips Chevy are really young. I also think I encountered the problem of my car not being fixed correctly because they were inexperienced. Usually when I take my car to a dealer to get fixed, they fix my car to perfection (or at least the problem that I took it in to be serviced for). I had never experienced anything like this before. Dennis and I came to the agreement that they would provide the parts for free if I paid for labor. Initially, he felt that I should have to still pay for everything. I came in a few days later to get the problem fixed. They had my car for several days. I was alright with it because Dennis said that he would not give it back until the problem was fixed correctly. When they called me to tell me how much the parts would be I almost freaked out. They told me the repairs would be $750. They also said that it was originally $1500 and that they were paying half. I arrived to pick up my vehicle and one of the service techs took me to the window to pay for my repairs. He assured me that they had taken care of half of the expenses. I paid what I thought was the remaining balance. I drove my car home and it worked fine. However, when I got home and studied the invoice more carefully, I realized that they lied to me. I saw that the bill was never $1500 and that they charged me for both the parts and the labor. At this point I was too drained to fight about it anymore. I just decided I would never take my car there to be serviced again and I definitely would not recommend it to anyone else. More

To my surprise, he said he would make our payments affordable, as we just came out of a bankruptcy not to long ago. He not only got us a great price on the vehicle, but got the monthly payments very reasonable. He did everything he said he would do, and exactly the price he said he would. More

I live in Indiana and Phillips (Frankfort) drilled into my bumper to install a front license plate bracket which are not required in Indiana. 2. In less than 4,000 miles on the car, the driver's side rear quarter glass plastic/chrome trim came off. Not sure how or where but happened sometime during our awful winter. I live much closer to the Lansing store so I dropped my car off asking if the trim could be replaced and if the bumper could be filled in once the front license plate bracket was removed. Vince saw to it that both of these things were done and had them claimed under warranty. The glass has to be completely removed and installed as a new unit. The body shop that was to perform the patchwork was 4-5 days out. Vince suggested to the dealership that they swap bumpers off of a new car in the lot so I could have my car in time for the weekend. Vince impressed me on several levels. For starters, this was warranty work and he didn't have a chance to upsell me on anything but still treated my concerns as a number one priority. What really impressed me was his constant communication, I am a "car guy." I can't tell you how many dealerships/shops have serviced my cars and I had to constantly call them for a status on my repair. Vince made sure he called me everyday with an update. This wasn't annoying, this was professional. I even called the service manager Dennis to commend Vince on his job well done. I also agreed to write this review on his behalf. Keep up the great work Vince. You can service my cars anytime, and I will only ask for you from now on. Completely Satisfied, Don Dulkoski Dyer, IN More
