Buying Experience After showing me what options were for Ram and Outdoorsman came to the forefront. After going through the discussion with the sales consultant, Ryan Johnson and his manager a bottom line was presented to me. I indicated that was way to far up since when I walked in I indicated what I wanted to pay. The price was dropped significantly, however it still was still $4k high, however after I looked at a used truck in Salem Or on line and talked with the dealership there, the price was just below $2300 from a new truck. So I went with the new as I gained a year in coverage, plus the folks at the Salem dealership indicated that the folks that traded the Ram in bought a 3/4 ton Duramax. I thought they could have been pulling something pretty heavy with just the 1/2 ton because of the trade to heavier truck; another reason I went with the new Ram. During sign out, with Brian, it was nice to see the ability of moving some options around for more protection; I selected two and am satisfied. That all said the staff was knowledgeable and listened to me and assisted. What I see as improvement may buck your current process and that is if a customer comes in and says I want a bottom line of $28k to finance what can I buy and here is my trade in. Numbers should be ran at that time for the best deal and presented to the customer. If the customer sees what options for the vehicle are they may raise the amount of finance to get what they really want. Here I showed my cards, while I believe this dealership should show theirs. I understand this would be a process change in some cases and it would have been helpful to me. Please understand as I stated earlier, all the folks involved with the sale were great. The sales consultant listened as well as his manager. The sales consultant knew his Ram trucks and your processes as well; that was good to see and shows a good work ethic. I came in wanting an outstanding deal and I believe I got very close to that. I was surprised to see the Ram truck was filled with diesel and DEF; this was great. More

Be careful which salesperson you get I got stuck with Ash, who played all the typical sales person games, and wouldn't even give me the price for a 17 pacifica.
