The salesperson I worked with was George Lewis, and he was great. My issues are not with him personally, but rather with the process and requests made by the dealership in negotiating buying a car online. was great. My issues are not with him personally, but rather with the process and requests made by the dealership in negotiating buying a car online. I live in Maine and wanted to have everything wrapped up before I drove down and traded in my car. These are my issues: 1. I was told they would meet me in Texarkana to make the final trade, which would have saved me about 6 hours driving...may not sound like a lot, but the drive from Maine was about 1900 miles one way. Once the deal was made online, I was then told I either had to wire the check to them or else they would not meet me in Texarkana and I would have to drive to the dealership in Tyler. 2. Once they received the check for the trade difference, the dealership then asked me to send them the title to my vehicle I was trading in...you know, because of scams. I sent them photos of the front and back of the title, but they still wanted it. So, they wanted the check (was $25k) and the title to my vehicle...talk about sounding like a scam :) So, I told them there was no way in xxxx I was sending them the title to my car AND the check for the difference (I did send them the check because they said I could not bring it to them when I came down). 3. So, after the bank sent the check overnight, the arrangement then was for me to drive to Tyler, bring my title, and make the trade. However, the car I was buying needed some work because one of the Corvette decals apparently was super glued on and damaged the rear fender when they were taking it off to remove the racing stripes on the car....and, to their credit, they did fix the bumper (painted it) but when I got there the emblem was not on the car and had not come in yet...not a huge issue, but still.... 4. Also, when I got to Tyler, Texas, the car was not there but instead in Longview, Texas. Would have been nice to know before I drove to Tyler as it then added another couple hours to my drive. 5. Once all the paperwork was signed, the car only had 1/2 a tank of gas...usually whenever I've bought a new or used car it is full of gas. Again, not a huge issue, but still... Overall, I am pleased with the car and the negotiated upon price with the trade. I'm also pleased with the salesperson, George Lewis. I would not, however, purchase another vehicle from Peters Autosports given the issues listed above. I have purchased a number of vehicles online and this one by far was the most difficult and frustrating. More
