I rented a 15 passenger van from them and ended up buying it. Great vehicle and they were super friendly. Jim gave me a good deal on the van and I have put 50,000 miles on it and it is still in good shape. it. Great vehicle and they were super friendly. Unfortunately their sales staff had changed considerably towards the worse in that time. First off, in my first visit, I came in to test drive an Eclipse but instead they sat me down and tried to basically finalize a sale, and wouldn't let me go, and I never even got my test drive! I put down a $1500 deposit on Peter Fuller (since supposedly they had a car coming in that was of the color I wanted), went to another dealership to test drive the Eclipse, and then came in for my second visit ready to buy. I ended up having to deal with the sales manager, who is without exaggeration an utter slime whom I just caught in lie after lie as he lowballed me on my trade-in and tried to convince me that paying above MSRP was a good deal. He's the stereotypical used car salesman that you see in movies, and he'd use words like "trust me" during our interactions and I had to resist laughing in his face. Oh well, I chalked it up to a bad experience, no big deal. But worst of all was the matter of the $1500 deposit. After my unsuccessful round with their sales manager, I told them I wasn't interested and asked for my deposit back and I got an assurance that for whatever reason really did not seem convincing to me, as if they were hoping I wouldn't mention my deposit. Two months later they still hadn't returned it to me. I called them out on this and the answer on the phone from the sales manager was neither surprised nor apologetic at all, it was pretty obvious to me that he had INTENDED TO KEEP MY $1500 DEPOSIT AND NOT RETURN IT TO ME from the start. During my first purchase at Peter Fuller, I had a great experience with a witty but patient salesman, so I had thought to go back to give them my business again as a loyal customer. Now all I can say is: For the love of all that is noble and dignified, avoid this dealership. More
