I went to puchase a new 4runner from this dealership on 1/11.Durning the negoation process the inventory manager Tim Young became very upset when I stopped the purchase to research an item on my own. Not t 1/11.Durning the negoation process the inventory manager Tim Young became very upset when I stopped the purchase to research an item on my own. Not taking what he told me as the gods honest the truth. When I went to leave he followed me to my car badgering me and then swearing at me. This is the way I was treated by the management I had every intention to purchase a new car and still will after I do my research just some place else. More
I would like to share with you what a great experience I had purchasing a 2011 Toyota Highlander from Legacy Toyota. The level of customer service I received was excellent! I was looking for the best dea had purchasing a 2011 Toyota Highlander from Legacy Toyota. The level of customer service I received was excellent! I was looking for the best deal out there. I knew I wanted a Highlander. I began to shop around with Thomasville Toyota and Panama City Toyota. I never thought of giving Legacy Toyota a chance since I had heard that their car prices were too high. My friend Debbi McLanahan works in the Internet Sales Department of Legacy Toyota. She asked me to stop by and speak to Sales Manager Tim Young. Mr. Young was extremely polite and professional. He paired me up with Sales Consultant JR Peet. I told them exactly what I wanted in my Highlander and what my budget allowed me to pay. Within a few minutes, JR was able to find exactly what I wanted. Now came the hard part, settling on a sales price. JR and Mr. Young worked very hard to get the vehicle price where I needed it to be. The only problem was that the vehicle was not in stock. I had no car to drive. Mr. Young was very generous to provide me with a Toyota loaner car until my new car came in. A very nice loaner car! Within a few days, my new Highlander had arrived. It was everything that I asked for and everything that was promised to me. I had the pleasure to deal with Business Manager Todd Goodman in my delivery. Mr. Goodman understood and respected my tight budget and made sure everything lined up perfectly for my car deal. I have purchased many new cars in the past. This was without a doubt one of the easiest most pleasant car buying experience I have experienced. The level of customer service I received was priceless. I would like to thank Mrs. McLanahan, Mr. Young, Mr. Peet, and Mr. Good man for making this a great car buying experience. Legacy Toyota has earned a customer for life! Visited last week and requested model and sales information. Introduced to the Sales Manager, a red faced stressed-out type of guy who seemed like he was a regular at the corner bar. I brought up s information. Introduced to the Sales Manager, a red faced stressed-out type of guy who seemed like he was a regular at the corner bar. I brought up several points regarding my search and time frame for purchase for a particular model and he repeatedly corrected my assertations multiple times stating they are selling more cars than ever in this recession. He ended by telling me that they are selling over 400 cars per month......right! I understand a little spin from a car saleman is going to happen, but please don't go overboard. I have seen the same 6 vehicles on their lot for over 2 months. I mentioned another dealer's price and he avoided that conversation like the plaque. It seemed he would only talk price if I agreed that I was going to buy right then and there. A sales person, much less the sales manager, should treat each customer with value and avoid patronizing or pointing out the customer is wrong. I have repeatedly seen online reviews and sales data that other dealers in Jacksonville and Georgia will give a better price several hundred to $2,000 below Legacy's hold on tallahassee. I really have my doubts as to purchasing a vehicle at ths dealer. More
This is the absolte worst place to buy a car. Sales people are pushy, abnoxious, rude, and more. I have lived in Tallahassee for over 25 years, bought 4 Toyotas, none of them at this dealership. I coul people are pushy, abnoxious, rude, and more. I have lived in Tallahassee for over 25 years, bought 4 Toyotas, none of them at this dealership. I could not even test drive a car without getting in shouting matches just to get away. I just want to test drive a car, not buy it yet. They don't really get that. Also, they will not budge on prices. They think that because they are selling best selling cars that the customer will pay whatever they want. Every time I got a better quote at other area dealers $500-$2,000 better, twice in Jacksonville and once in Thomasville. The 4th time, my wife was looking at the matrix. After exchanging a few bad words with the abonious salesperson, my wife ended up getting the Vibe. One of the reasons they never compete on price is that they add fees of this and that on their quotes including charging the delivery fee twice. They also celebrate in the most abnoxious way, when someone finally signs, a celebration that spells more how they screwed the customer over rather than pride in working a deal that worked for the customer as well. The shop is not much better. They oversell every little service they can useful or not, once again in a pushy and abnoxious way. Quite often, I came in for an oil change and came out with a $100 bill. Brake pads are replaced even if they are not half worn. How many oil pan seals did they change that were perfectly fine? a worthless repair on cars that are 100000 miles or less, but easy to do. How many times did they pushed that one on me? I held firm on that one. The car never had any problems and went past 300000 miles. Once they have the car in the shop, they start bringing issues that "need" to be fixed. My second Camry never turned a wheel at their shop from the first 3,000 mile oil change to the last. I sold the car with 250000 miles on it still running fine. Overall, this is a pathetic place. More
Called on internet inquery after sent son to have 1999 Toyota Camary (in reasonable condition, it drove well, had 160,000 miles on it and needed cosmetic body work). I spoke to the mechanic he told me Toyota Camary (in reasonable condition, it drove well, had 160,000 miles on it and needed cosmetic body work). I spoke to the mechanic he told me that the car needed 2 of 3 engine mounts replaced and oil was leaking from seal on block ($850). Then, I spoke to Jason (?) the internet sales person, he had the car test driven and called me back and offered $500 for car and then started to tell me the car had some after market parts in it (according to mechanic). When I asked what the parts were, he initially told me the battery. I said, I thought the battery had been Sear's best one and wasn't that at least the equivilent to a Toyota battery? His response was that some other parts also were aftermarket. I told him that I believed he was just trying to justify his low-ball offer and that I was insulted. Though I thought about visiting this dealer for a car, I decided that if this was how they did the trade-in, I didn't want to take a chance buying a 12-23,000 car from them. So I called my son, told him to pay the $60 for the oil change and tire rotation that had been done and he met me at another dealer where we proceeded to buy a car. More
