I am so disappointed in Pete Moore Volkswagen in Pensacola, FL... As a long time resident of this part of the Gulf Coast as well as a 3-time VW owner - I really suggest going to Mobile or maybe Tal Pensacola, FL... (The Ft Walton Beach VW dealership is pretty heinous, too.) My main complaint is them quoting me, after 7 or 8 phone calls, a general ballpark figure for my newer, excellent condition trade-in, then getting out there (almost 46 miles roundtrip) to find they never did any research on my trade-in, never made any calls or looked at any figures as they implied they had. They basically blew smoke up my a** just to get me out there to say "Oops - looks like we can offer you $3,000 less than we quoted you." Then to bring the manager over who called me 'sweetheart' and beat around the bush with, "Well what if we COULD get you what we quoted you?" and "What were your payments on the trade-in?" As well as all sorts of other tomfoolery... If they quoted me a price and I'd been working with their salesman for over a week and they knew the trade-in was the only roadblock to buying their vehicle why mess around? Why waste my time? And WHY on God's green Earth would they use terms like 'sweetheart' to an independent female client who is trying to make a business deal with them?? All around bad experience and will NEVER go back to Pete Moore. Women who don't want to be treated like idiots or spoken down to I REALLY suggest avoiding this dealership! More
When it came down to doing the financing, Darren Skitt assumed that I wanted an extended warrenty and added it to the total price of the vehicle. I've taken a vehicle in for non-warranty work and they "discovered" problems that were not problems when I took it in. I've taken in a vehicle for warranty work, and the service is not better. They are "discovered" problems that were not problems when I took it in. I've taken in a vehicle for warranty work, and the service is not better. They are not good about follow-up phone calls to keep you informed about the status of the work. Twice I found my vehicle in the parking lot, when I was told it was back in the bays being worked on. They talk a great game, but they don't back up their talk. The staff is friendly, but in a village idiot way. More
