Door Handle fell off the car. Car had a recall about safety issues with the door latch mechanism. Wife was informed that the recall only pertained to the latch and the handle was not included. How can safety issues with the door latch mechanism. Wife was informed that the recall only pertained to the latch and the handle was not included. How can the door being not operational be considered NOT a safety issue? Without really investigating the issue, the Service Technician determined that it was a broken cable and would cost over $400 to fix. The cable was fine. The problem is the adjusting screw that secures the outside door handle retainer in place. I am sorely disappointed to say the least. More
