This account of what happened is not accurate. I spoke with this customer multiple times on the phone about what exactly was wrong with the car and the cost to repair the car towing was a little higher due to accessibility of the car (the way it was parked). I can't just drive a tow truck on to his neighbor's lawn to get his car. The parts were not $22.00 they were $219.00 my cost and if it was so easy to fix why didn't he do it himself? Everything is easy on Google!! This is just not true, he was quoted $500.00 to fix the car plus towing and we actually where under that, the entire steering column has to be removed to replace the key and lock cylinder due to the factory using rivets to hold them in they must be cut or drilled out. The reason for the key being attached to the steering column is because of the cars anti-theft device, the keys must be programmed to the car, they are VIN specific. If the car would have gone to the Honda dealer it would've have been at least 2 times more for the repairs. It wasn't the key, it was the lock cylinder that was broken that the key goes into therefore the entire lock assembly needed to be replaced. Customer also posted a negative review on Google Business on 8JUNE22 and later retracted the complaint. Explanation of Charges: Towing: $170.00 Keys and Cylinder Switch: 256.96 Labor: 300.00--3 hours at $100 per hour 6% Sales Tax: 15.42 Total Bill: $742.38 Complainant was not charged for a week's labor as stated. Obviously a week's worth of labor would be more than $300.00. On 11JUN22 customer called and spoke with our service manager and everything was explained in detail. After explaining everything, the complainant acknowledged a better understanding of the charges at that time and removed his Google post. After the repairs were completed customer was called to inform him that the vehicle was completed and ready for pickup. And then at that time he asked if he could make installment payments. To which of course the answer was no. He also would've been told that before repairs were completed IF HE HAD ASKED BEFOREHAND. We do not take installment payments for auto repairs from anyone.
