Sam Altpeter (309-231-2035) immediately chatted back, answering all of my questions succinctly. Sam is very professional and listens to what a customer says. (Something that seems difficult to find in car salesman). No sales talk bologna, cliches, run around, or excuses. Sam is a "Just the Facts" kind of guy. He saved us a lot of time with his manner, which we both appreciated and liked. Toyota was upgrading the wiring harness on the models with heated seats, so this model was difficult to find with the new harness. Sam said he'd have to check with Service Dept. to see if they'd received the harness yet, which he did first thing Mon. morning and emailed me that Service was installing the harness as he was writing me and with the complete description of the vehicle, so I could confirm that it had everything we wanted. It did. He then sent detailed pricing information, which was VERY competitive. (We had checked what we should pay for this specific vehicle on Consumer Reports, as well as with other dealers.) Sam gave "our" vehicle priority for the harness installation in the Service Dept. to have it ready by 4 p.m. on Monday. We live 4 hours from Peoria, so this was perfect timing. We were willing to drive the extra distance to work with someone who responds well to our needs and does what he says he will do and do it promptly. It also showed that Sam would go the extra mile to meet customers' needs. (I later learned that Sam was having dinner at Chilli's with his family when he received my first "chat" on Sat. evening.) We received excellent pricing with Toyota's rebate AND this dealership's discount. We would highly recommend Sam Altpeter at 309-231-2035, as well as the Service Dept. at Peoria Toyota. I was looking for a specific Venza, and Peoria Toyota had a perfect match. I called in and talked to David. He is very professional sales consultant and was able to answer all my questions. After few phone calls and going back and forth on the sale price we came to an agreement and I left a deposit (credit card was charged right away). Having secured the sale I proceeded with a purchase of an airplane ticket (I live in a different state) and made arrangements with David to be picked up from the airport. 4 hours later (!!!) one of the managers called me and....told me that unfortunately this particular vehicle was sold!!?? It obviously didn't sound right because I and David had been working out the details for over two days, and at all times he referred to management for approval, thus they had been informed from the start of our conversation about this deal. I can easily figure out what happened: most likely the vehicle was sold for more than I had offered!!! Very disappointing to see something like this happening with a well reputable dealership, but I guess money comes before customer service at Peoria Toyota!!! Decide for yourself!!! More

I visited Peoria Toyotaon a recall. Service Tech. check out my 2008 Tundra. Said needed a new serpinteen belt, also stated it was pricey, I told them to go ahead. Imagine my suprise when I get home and fin out my 2008 Tundra. Said needed a new serpinteen belt, also stated it was pricey, I told them to go ahead. Imagine my suprise when I get home and find I can get this belt for $284.00 cheaper through parts store. Your priceing is totally out of line> I told service rep that I will never buy parts from Toyota again. I feel you really stuck it to me, whith this move. I have purschased two Highlanders from this dealer and have used the service dept for all work on both vehicles for over 4 years. Never had anything but a very positive experience. I was disappointed that the dealership could not repair the DC player which mysteriously stopped working and refused to eject 5 CDs. All they can do is send it away, they know not where, or how long it wo the DC player which mysteriously stopped working and refused to eject 5 CDs. All they can do is send it away, they know not where, or how long it would take. Good luck getting the CDs back in that situation. And it's expensive. The dealership ought to be able to repair these. Google it and you'll find out this is a common problem. And why doesnt my registration with toyotaowners.com work with this site? More
