170 point used car check and service I am a retired Navy physician and aviator, a proponent of safety and process improvement, submitting the following in hopes that Peoria Ford will take I am a retired Navy physician and aviator, a proponent of safety and process improvement, submitting the following in hopes that Peoria Ford will take heed and do better. Not sure what gets covered by the quality check....I had asked for the list, which Wade the salesman was quite proud of, stating that only quality worry free vehicles pass, but was only given a copy of the invoice documenting that it had been done. Meanwhile, 3 weeks and 500 miles after purchasing one of their used SUVs that had passed the check, the brakes are squealing....so making an appt to get them serviced. I also notice that the tires have very little tread remaining, beyond the lateral wear bars on all tires (maybe that's why they were overinflated...they did recognize the abnormal wear, but were hoping to regain some service by overinflating...good strategy but unethical in my opinion), I'm guessing maybe 5000 miles of safe service left.... and a tire plug within 1/8 inch of tread edge-generally considered not safe...shame on me, I should have noticed. At the time of purchase we pointed out where the detailing had left pet hair, dirt, and chewing gum on the seats, as well as an oily residue throughout the engine compartment. The vehicle was sent to service for about 90 minutes. Shame on me, I didn't verify the work....as it was not done. In summary, the service department at this dealership is probably capable of doing great things, but they clearly miss things at times, and I recommend they review their quality control processes. They didn't become a successful dealership doing the careless work reflected by my experience. With the application of process improvement they should be able to more consistently provide quality work for more cars. regarding CustomerService, I left multiple messages with them over 2 weeks, finally getting through to Ms Woodhull, who listened patiently then reminded me that I had accepted the vehicle and should have inspected it. Yes she is correct, I had placed too much faith in their quality check, without verifying. Lesson learned. For what it's worth, a sales manager-Nikki? called to check on how the SUV was performing a week after the purchase, before any of the above issues manifested themselves. Contacting this dealership is a challenge...No email addresses on website, and calling CustomerService results in leaving messages...which as noted, took weeks the get through. It took longer than expected but most importantly, they got it right. Keep in mind, I have had it back only two days; but so far "sweet". No complaints with work done other than it didn't boost the power quite as I expected, but that could be just me. I will say this, "the car handles and performs awesome". I would not trade it for a Porsche or any car for that matter. My GTCS is now truly unique and much fun to drive. Extended warranty is also still in tact. I will now change my Ford dealer to Peoria from another I used to go to that is 25 minutes closer to me; that says it all! More

I told Johnathan I needed back ASAP as I had to be in California in a matter of days Johnathan was also worked with extended warranty company to make sure my repairs were covered. Johnathan not only got the motorhome repaired and back to me in time for my trip, but also convinced the extended warranty company to pay for the repairs in full. Awesome job getting all this done under a time crunch. I will always bring my repairs and maybe a future F150 purchase to Peoria Ford. Thank you very much Johnathan More
