I went to pick up a car part I ordered. The attendant was on the phone. When he finished his call he asked me what i wanted. I told him and as he began to type he got a phone call. Be careful when you bring your car into the Service Department. My brief experience was this: I brought my car in for a recall. I get a call from the owner of Penn Toyota's brother who works in the Department. My brief experience was this: I brought my car in for a recall. I get a call from the owner of Penn Toyota's brother who works in the service department stating that the front brakes should be replaced they are down to 3mm. I don't know what that means but it sure sounds like its low so I tell him thanks but I will get the brakes done by my own local mechanic. I bring my car to my mechanic and I get a call a few hours later and my mechanic tells me that the front brakes look just fine, there is about half of the pad left. I was annoyed that Penn Toyota was recommending that the brakes should be replaced so I contacted Jim Miga who asked my to bring the car in so he can inspect it in front of me with the mechanic and get to the bottom of the problem. I bring my car in, they take my car into the service department and about 10-15 minutes later Jim gets me and we walk to my car. They lift up the car and they take out a tool Toyota gives the service men to measure the pads and show me that the pads are at about a 4 on their meter. Jim felt confident with those results and felt like there was nothing wrong done by Penn Toyota and, for my trouble, I was offered a price of 159.99 to replace the brakes whenever I wanted them done(the current internet coupon price). Well that was about a month ago. Getting nervous that the brakes are getting low I decided to drop my car off yesterday at a Mavis repair shop to get the front brakes replaced. I drop my car off and about 15 minutes later I get a call from the manager of Mavis and he tells me that there is no need to replace the brakes, they have just less than half of a brake pad left. The manager tells me that there is a good 10,000 miles left on those pads unless I drive and brake really hard then obviously they will have to be replaced sooner than 10,000 more miles. I can understand that maybe my own local mechanic could have a difference of opinion from corporate Toyota on when it is recommended to replace the brake pads but hearing from a second independent mechanic, coming from a shop that I have never done business with in the past, an entire month later, that the brakes are still good and should not be replaced is disturbing. More

This place is pretty horrible; however, I must add that many dealerships in this area are likewise. My problems here surfaced when I first went to purchase a vehicle in 2012. I was given an “out the door price” that I was told was the complete price inclusive of everything - tax, DMV charges etc. To my surprise, when I went in to purchase the vehicle the next day I was told there was a misunderstanding or miscommunication somewhere. Additional charges were being assessed. I advised the manager and rep that I was given a price that was inclusive of everything and now that was changing. I told the manager I would take my business elsewhere not because of the few hundred dollar difference but because of the broken commitment...I did! I purchase my vehicle at another Toyota dealership within a day or two. Now, I have had 5 service encounters with Toyota as regards the Toyota Care package. After a gut feeling after the second service or so I began to number my tires and note things on the vehicle to see what was actually being done relative to what was supposed to be done. On my fifth service I decided to go to Penn Toyota for convenience as it is the closest location to my house. This was the ONLY service I had done out of the 5 at this location and I proceeded with numbering my tires. After waiting about 40 or so minutes approximately I was given my vehicle back with documentation showing that the tires had been rotated and a whole host of other things done. Now, that was CLEARLY NOT the case. My tires were not rotated. My liquids were NOT topped off. Inconsistencies in my tire tread with earlier services were clear and my gut said that a whole lot more was NOT done that was checked as having been done. This dealership is definitely NOT a dealership I will go back to and I would suggest you follow suit! In addition, I called up Toyota Care's national number to complain about what I experienced and was essentially told that there is little recourse for anything as the issues are addressed through the that specific dealership. This made no sense to me and I thought it best to put this review up and look-up additional options - looking into a BBB filing and other things. I would STRONGLY recommend others follow suit with their complaints and check-up to insure they are not being defrauded as well! More
The overall place is very nice and the waiting area is nice and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. I dealt with Jimmy Miga and Laurie Guigliano. They were very helpful. My experience with this dealership this month was quite pleasant. I walked in the dealership expecting to face long waits but I was pleased with the swiftness and efficiency of my being helped. It was actually relaxing to sit in the quiet waiting room and drink a cup of coffee as I waited, since I had been running around all day. The staff was excellent and friendly, Jimmy Miga was very helpful in assisting me. I get my car serviced regularly and have yet to encounter an unpleasant experience. Laurie Guigliano is also very polite, and I noticed that the whole staff always shows concern for any issue you may have. More
The service department lost an expensive keychain attached to the key for my Prius. I reported it to the manager and he told me to buy a new one and they would pay me back. My experience at Penn Toyota was a pleasure. Laurie, the customer service manager was wonderful, making sure everything was done timely and to my satisfaction.
