Bait and Switch June 12, 2014 I completed an inquiry on Cars.com for my daughter's search for a new white with tan interior 2014 Hyundai Tucson with the Tech package. June 12, 2014 I completed an inquiry on Cars.com for my daughter's search for a new white with tan interior 2014 Hyundai Tucson with the Tech package. I received several immediate responses including one from Poway Hyundai's Internet Sales Consultant Charles Curtis. He stated that they had such a car but without the Tech package but he located one with the tech package. He quoted a good price and we set up a meeting. When we went to the dealership he introduced himself and said an associate would help us. We did the test drive of the car they had (no tech package) and then started to go through the negotiation stage for the "located" car with the tech package when the manager Rudy came out to say that the price Charles quoted was actually for the car without the tech package, but was not a realistic price for a car with the tech package. Despite the quote in the email, the dealership refused to honor it saying they were sorry for any misunderstanding. A classic case of bait and switch. More
I signed up for a quote on USAA buyers program. This dealer contacted me with a low quote and said they had the car in stock. I made an appointment for a test drive and arrived on time. They were not expecting me when I arrived and had no recolection of making a quote. They finally offered a test drive but it was not the car they wanted to sell me. I was paying cash so asked them not to run a credit report. They assured me that they wouldn't but did anyhow. Then they tried to rush me into buying a car that they did not have in stock without even seeing it! Horrible dealer! Every stereotype of bad dealers is embodied by this dealer. More

In fact, prior to working with Rick, I had been to a different Hyundai dealership with extremely poor service, so I felt very gratified to have a good experience. Rick was patient, knowledgeable, and willing to let me look around. He was very detailed and knew a lot and helped me to sort out my options. If I ended up deciding on buying and Elantra, I would have come back to buy from him purely because of the good service he provided. More

Following the sale...complete turnaround, doesn't return calls, doesn't want to be bothered with customer issues, contract misunderstandings, sticking the customer with $900 in services which were not fully explained (LowJack) nor needed, etc., and then refusing to renegotiate. Poor communications all-around with customer. Sales Manager (Scott) especially uncooperative and argumentative. Dreadful experience to a first time new car customer at that dealership. More

Then I waited another 20 mintes and Chris once told to get out of his office, he sd he was done wsith me. Thats #1 customer service, the worst I ever experienced. They are your best friend prior to sale and dont care for you at all afterwards. To all car shoppers do as Chris told me take you business down the road to the other nearby dealerships. More
