Never again! Worst car buying experience ever! I have purchased numerous cars in my time and this was the absolute worst! Purchased a 2016 that was used. In order Worst car buying experience ever! In order to make the deal I had them agree to fix a scratch, a tear in a seat and provide rubber floor mats and cargo mat. After waiting over 3 hours to see the finance guy paper were finally signed on 11/8. Was told that car would be fixed by 11/15 and was given a loaner and promised we would never see the scratch. On 11/15 returned and the scratch had been touched and was as noticeable as before if not more. The seat had not even been repaired. After going back and forth with them saying they would not fix anymore, they decided to, since we never took delivery of the car. We asked about the floor and cargo mats that had been promised also at this time. We were given a dumb look from Phil the salesman, like what are you talking about? After showing them the IOU he came out with the floor mats and then told us he would overnight the cargo mat to our house. We were given the vehicle and accepted it (like dummies) being told to bring it back the following week and it the scratch again would be fixed and the seat would be fixed. On 11/18 the cargo mat that was to be overnight-ed had still not arrived. After contacting and threatening the salesman, we were told the mat was at the dealer and to come by on 11/19, which we did. We were told then to bring the car back the following day and drop it off for the repairs. The car was dropped off on 11/20 for the repairs that were to have happened the following week.( Mind you its 36 miles one way from our house to this dealer) On 11/23 my wife was contacted to tell her the scratch was repaired but the seat had not been and that we would have to bring it back again. Being totally unsatisfied with this I contact the GM who told me they had bent over backwards for us. Really??? We are the ones who are buying from you. We are the ones driving all the miles and spending all the time contacting you and coming to you!! Really, you have given us nothing but a hard time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More

The team member Paul who worked with me was knowledgeable about the vehicle, low-pressure but straight forward and very easy to work with! My needs were heard, communicated & were met with the vehicle we decided on! I know folks can often be anxious/hesitant about approaching a dealership for such an important purchase but the folks at Pearson Mazda (shout out again to Paul) are wonderful to work with and can make the car buying experience something that will make you proud to wear the Pearson name around your next car's license plate! She catered to me as if she was buying the car for herself. She asked me question that I wasn't asked in my last two consultations. She was not so focused on credit and how I was going to pay for the car; she was more focused on finding out what I liked and what was more important to me when selecting a car. I gave her a list of the features I wanted and she stuck to that list. I test drove one car and it was very close but not with all the upgrades I was looking for, she asked me a few more questions, and by the second test drive I found the car I wanted. This was the first time I only test drove two cars and was able to make a confident decision. Even after the negotiations and paper signing, Kim hopped in the car to set up my Bluetooth and explained other features that I may want to use or add later. I will recommend Kimberly to everyone; especially the women that are in the market for a car, Kimberly is a “girly girl” and she understands how we think…. Wink, wink. More

Zero Pressure Pearson was our fourth dealership the day, and Kimberly was our fourth sales associate of the day. Pressure tactics - they don't work on me Test drove a few cars and finally decided on a used MDX that had been on their lot for 90 days. Went back in to negociate on the price and buy the car. They went straight at me with "there's been an uptick in interest in this car and we have 3 other appointments to show it today. Therefore, they aren't moving on the price." Really, you could have told me this over the phone instead of me having to pack up my 15 month old and husband, basically to be turned away. No one in their right mind buys a car at sticker price. It was more than insulting to not negociate with me at all. I'm sure being female had a lot to do with it. I simply took my business elsewhere. Far too many car dealerships in Richmond to be mistreated. Oh and guess what? While I've been driving the newer car I bought elsewhere, that Acura still sits on their lot, price reduced, for the very same price I was willing to pay. Don't count your chickens before they hatch, Pearson Mazda. You lost a definite sale trying to play hardball. More
