If you are in the market for a Ford product, get it from Mizell Ford in Waynesboro, GA and ask for Scott Chasm. He is friendly, responsive, knowledgeable and, most importantly, HONEST! Scott just saved Mizell Ford in Waynesboro, GA and ask for Scott Chasm. He is friendly, responsive, knowledgeable and, most importantly, HONEST! Scott just saved me from making a trip to Atlanta from Augusta to pick up a 2013 Ford Explorer Limited with the 302A package that I was misled about over the phone by Wade Ford in Smyrna, GA. My husband bought his Ford F350 from Scott so we know and trust him and have been very pleased with Mizell Ford in general so we wanted to give them our repeat business. I called Scott on Saturday evening to let him know about the too-good-to-be-true deal that I found through ebay at Wade Ford to see if he could match/beat it. He had just left work on Saturday so I left a message with the gentleman who answered the phone about what I found online and asked that Scott call me back on Monday morning. In the meantime, I put a $200 deposit down to hold the vehicle in Smyrna, GA because I didn't want to miss out on this car if it was all that the salesman at Wade Ford said it was. Scott called me first thing today to review exactly what I wanted: a white platinum metallic 2013 Ford Explorer V-6 Limited with the 302A package, dual moon roofs, second row bucket/captain's chairs (I have 3 kids and need easy access to the third row) with no center console between the bucket seats, and roof rails. I told him about the deal I had been offered by Wade Ford of $44750 (down from $49015) that the salesman said met all of these criteria (and SPECIFICALLY told me he was looking at the car on the lot with the door open and that the second row had captain's chairs) AND was a 4x4. I was not in the market for a 4x4 with a tow package since we have a Ford F350 but for that price I couldn't pass it up. Scott immediately got to work and called me back in 5 minutes to let me know that the vehicle from Wade Ford did NOT have the second row bucket seats--- deal breaker! Second row buckets were one of the most important features I was looking for and have been very specific about. I was shocked by this and called Wade Ford right away to inquire about the new information I received from Scott. The sales manager at Wade sent the salesman who quoted me that price out to the lot to actually look at the car while he checked their inventory online to see if they had the vehicle I thought I was buying. He then very slyly started to give me details on another Ford Explorer. When I continued to inquire about the vehicle I put the deposit down on, he said, "Marty got confused", and then continued to try to sell me a different Explorer. I requested my deposit back since I was grossly misled. He said I would not be charged. While I was fuming over being duped, Scott was working hard to find EXACTLY what I wanted for the best price. And he found it. In Alabama. For a better price. And is bringing it on home to mama. Cha-ching! It is EXACTLY what I want AND has the very cool fashionista/Prada-esque black and brown leather interior. Most importantly, it has bucket seats in the second row with ready access to the third row that will keep my kids from beating each other senseless and save the little sanity I have left after having my chain yanked by a hustler in Smyrna. Scott and Mizell Ford also beat the best financing rate I found (2.49% through USAA for 48 months)-1.95% for 48 months. I cannot praise this dealership and Scott Chasm enough. This will be our second Ford purchase with Scott at Mizell Ford. I guarantee it will not be our last. The sale/ after-the-sale service is second to none. The service department is excellent; they provide a loaner car if our F350 has to spend a day or two at the shop (diesel engine). My best advice for anyone who lives outside of Waynesboro: test drive locally but purchase at Mizell from Scott Chasm. You will not regret it. Great guy, great dealership. We tell all of our friends to come here for Ford products. Thank you, Scott! You ROCK! I can't wait to meet my new ride. More
