The worst auto purchase experience I have ever had. We decided on a Silveraido crew 1500 the salesman was not aware that the truck we wanted did not qualify for the available discounts. We discussed these discounts prior to even looking at the available trucks. This caused a lot of confusion and my spouse felt like we were being taken advantage of. We agreed to purchase a different truck that qualified for the discounts. Our salesman kept disappearing and had to be located multiple times. I filled out forms and was told my credit would not be checked until we decided to move forward with the purchase. He was out of the room five minutes and I started receiving notifications on my phone that my credit had been accessed. We traded or 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk and had to get the consumer protection agency involved in order to get the existing loan paid off. It took multiple calls to have the registration electronically processed. I will never set foot in a Thigpen dealership again. Not one person took responsibility to solve our challenges. Dealing with everyone was extremely frustrating and challenging. That was when you could speak to a live person, not one voicemail was ever returned. More
Still getting the runaround after 3 months! My son purchased a used vehicle from Thigpen automotive group in early May of this year. Our lien company still has not received the title and we are My son purchased a used vehicle from Thigpen automotive group in early May of this year. Our lien company still has not received the title and we are unable to register the car in our state due to missing paperwork. He has tried calling multiple times with the promise that someone will return his call or that the person who completed his title paperwork "is out of office". We called once again today and got the same story that the person who completed the paperwork was not in. We've had to notify the lien company as well. Pieces aren't adding up as to what has taken 3 months to obtain this information. Still waiting to hear from them but the customer service has been extremely poor and very frustrating especially because we are out of state. More

great the sales man brought the car to me . I never went the dealer ship we drove the for 4 days then they pick it up with a list of a few things that nee the sales man brought the car to me . I have worked in the automotive industry for over 20 years and can say that no one tried to pull anything over on me. There were no added fee's or extra charges for the sale. Gorgeous Lemon I purchased a Cadillac XTS from Paul Thigpen Chevrolet Buick GMC 2 months ago. One man in particular called, texted and emailed me every 2 days consis I purchased a Cadillac XTS from Paul Thigpen Chevrolet Buick GMC 2 months ago. One man in particular called, texted and emailed me every 2 days consistently for about 2 months after an online inquiry; even on Sundays. Although I'd changed my mind and said I would make an appointment at a later date. I eventually made an appointment with him to view the car because he appeared to be really invested in gaining my business. Whenever I arrived at the dealership he greeted me, introduced himself and promptly shoved me off onto another salesman, I dismissed that big red flag. The new salesman was nice and polite, the test drive went well until he didn't know how to operate the radio, Bluetooth, navigation functions., called the Cadillac Cue system. Together, we determined that it wasn't him, the Cadillac Cue system was defective. The dealership agreed to replace the Cadillac Cue and service the car the following week whenever the new radio arrived to save me time. I agreed to purchase the car & closed the transaction that evening. The following day a service side detection system message came on. I took the car back to have it fixed and I picked it up 3 days later after having the side detection system checked, the car serviced and Cadillac Cue system installed, or so I thought. The following week my sunroof wouldn't open properly, the service side detection system message was back on, my glove box fell on the floor anytime it was opened and a part of the rear view mirror had fallen off while being adjusted. I took the car back again to have all of those things fixed and was given a loaner car. While I was at the dealership I asked to see the salesman who'd sold me the car. I politely asked if he could help me find a different car and work out a deal allowing me to trade in the promblematic Cadillac. I gave him a make, model and 2 colors that I'd like. He told me he'd see what he could find and to call back the next week. I called him the next week just as he'd asked me to do, he forwarded me a photo of the make & model that I'd asked for but it was silver. I'd asked him to find black or white, very common colors for that make and model, but I was still interested in the silver car; I started inquiring further and asking questions about the finances for the silver car. He told me that he'd work on the numbers and call me back with the details so that I could make a decision on the car. I'm still waiting on those numbers & a call back right now, over a month later. Now back to the Cadillac, the service department hadn't called with any information about my car in over a week. I called the dealership, spoke to the service department and learned that my car had been ready for pickup 2 days prior, but the service department said that they had been too busy to call me. They were too busy to call me to pick up the luxury car that I'm spending an exorbitant amount to own and enjoy while I'm driving around town in a cramped, compact loaner car because their dealership keeps failing to thoroughly check out my car and make the necessary repairs. I picked up my car again and 5-7 days later I noticed that my oil life was at 30% & at some point my glove box had fallen out onto the floor once again. I texted video of the glove box to the salesman who said he'd show it to his manager and have him call me, that was a Wedneday. I called the dealership, scheduled an oil change, spoke to the salesman, telling him that the manager who was supposed to call me on Wedneday had not called at all and it was now Monday. The oil change that I was scheduling should have been performed the first time that I'd taken the car to be repaired, along with the Cadillac Cue and service side detection system prompt. I hadn't been able to drive the car more than 50 miles due to all the time that it had been at the dealership for repairs. I made an appointment to have the oil changed the next morning. The wait time was 2.5 hours for the oil change and glove box repair. I was handed a bill for the oil change whenever it was finished, needless to say that I was astonished. I asked if they could take care of the bill, the man checked with his manager and returned with a message, "this ONE is free, but not any others" as if they were now doing me a favor whenever they had failed to change the oil the first time I'd taken the car in to be serviced after I'd initially purchased it and as they'd agreed to do. The next issue was receiving my refund check(the loan check from the bank was larger than the final sale price of the car, entitling me to a refund.), bill of sell & other documents needed to register the car and have tags issued. The dealership called and I explained in in depth detail that the out of state mailing address on my purchasing documents was NOT the address where I was temporarily residing at the time. I needed the paperwork mailed to this local address, not the out of state address on the purchasing documents. The lady that I talked to told me to expect a UPS envelope with the week. After a week had gone by without the documents arriving I called the dealership to inquire about a tracking number. The lady told me that the envelope she'd mailed to me had been returned to her at the dealership. She'd taken the liberty of forwarding the envelope to the other out of state address on the purchasing documents without notifying me, after I'd stressed on 2 different occasions not to use the address on the purchasing documents because I may not receive them before the temporary paper tag expired. Whenever I still hadn't received the envelope after traveling back to the address on the purchasing documents. I called the dealership again to ask if the mail had been returned again and if it was returned could I have a relative who lived locally pick it up for me because I was now 3 states away and couldn't pick it up myself. The same lady who decided it was ok to send my returned envelope with my check inside of it to the wrong address without ever attempting to call me, inform me in any way or ask if I needed to make other arrangements then told me over that I would need to fax her a notarized form of written consent authorizing her to release the envelope to someone other than me. Although neither written nor verbal authorization was needed for her to mail the same envelope to the wrong address a week prior. Not only had she mailed it to the wrong address, but to an address that I'd explicitly asked that it not be mailed to. Luckily, I eventually found the envelope which was a hassle since I live out of state, was in the middle of a move and had to chase it down; only to receive the documents, find that the check was made out to the DMV when it should've been made out to me and then spend $47 to overnight it back to the dealership, have the check reissued and wait for it to be mailed back to me again. The irony in all of is that I received a ridiculous amount of unnecessary and unimportant phone calls, texts, emails, etc. hounding me to come in to see the car. I was impressed with the persistent effort to gain a new customer and wanted to support the local economy. I was called at least 8 times with questions about how to process the electronic check from my bank, my addresses and other questions that I'd already answered while signing the purchase agreement ensuring that the car would be financed. After I'd agreed to spend tens of thousands of dollars with this dealership customer service became nonexistent. At that point ALL of the phone calls were very important, but they were rarely made. Text msgs and emails were definitely a thing of the past. Unfortunately, I just noticed that the car also needs new tires after owning it less than 90 days. I take full responsibility for failing to notice the low threads of the tires before purchasing the car. If you could see my car, it wouldn't be hard to see how I overlooked the tires. The car is definitely ritzy and loaded with state of the art amenities, so much so that I instantly fell in love with it and purchased it on the spot. I purchased an expensive incredibly luxurious and swanky eye catching lemon from Paul Thigpen Chevrolet Buick GMC. More
