I bought a cpo audi a4, with 28,000 miles on it. Two days after I picked it up, I was on a CT highway I heard a ticking and then my oil light came on. I pulled over and oil was pouring from the car. I tow it back to this dealer where I bought it, $500 out of my pocket because Roadside Assistance wouldn't. This guy Ron was extremely rude to me, telling me I broke the car, and then tried to fix it. Ron told me I drove the car with no oil, broke the oil pan, and then put in 8 quarts of oil. Why would a car 2 days after picking it up need oil, and why would I try to fix the problem when Audi supposidly fix it under warranty? He said the engine and other parts along with the work will not be covered by my warrenty. My fiancee had to go down there to look at the "damage" which there was none except a crack in the oil pan not the tremendous damage they claimed. Ron showed video of the damage with his cell phone camera. Now let me ask this. Is this standard practice for Audi to use cell phone cameras to fix problems? Of course I didn't put any oil in, since I only had the car 2 days! While my fiancee was down there he spoke to a man named Frank that we dealt with before and he is even more rude and abusive then Ron. His name was Frank and he completely embarrassed me, yelled at me, and made me cry on 2 different occasions. At the last minute he tried to give us less money for my trade in and basically called my fiancee and I trash. This man is completely reckless, unprofessional, and abusive. I had to go through BBB, Consumer Affairs, Lemon Law lawyers, and then Audi themselves, who started an investigation. Next day this guy Ron calls "ohh we want to treat you right, we will fix it since you only had the car 2 days". Next the sales manager Frank Williams (not the same Frank as before)calls me saying they made a mistake on my interest rate and it will go up to 6.49 and my contract is no good, this place if horrible! So I call Audi Customer Relations again, they said that they can't change the rate, and they never heard of a dealership changing it. If Audi Customer Relations has never gotten a complaint about this ever....that show much of crooks these guys are. Customer Relations will call again inquiring! I don't know if I will get my car back or my money. At this point even with the brand new engine and parts I am extremely uncomfortable to get this car back after all of this. This is what I expect from Kia or some rip off used car lot, not from a place that sells Audi, Land Rovers, Bentlys, and Rolls Royces. NEVER GO HERE~!!! I have been treated like garbage by this dealership, at this point I wish I never went here and bought a Jetta. They treat people with A4's like second class citizens. These guys fit the stereotype of sleazy car dealers. Worst experience of my life! The only person who was friendly and kind to us was our salesman Pete Elia. He was accomodating and easy to work with. As for the others they are complete jerks, liars, and thieves. They see a young couple come in and they think they can take advantage! I recommend that if anyone has problems with this dealership call Audi Customer Relations directly. They are so helpful, kind, and will go out of their way to make things right! As for me, I am writing a formal letter of complaint, and filing a complaint with the BBB. More

I brought the my A4 for recall campain JE. After less than 3,000 miles after brining my ’96 Audi A4 to be visually inspected for the JE recall, the lower control arms fail. Basically, an Audi of America and Paul Miller service representative informed me that the visual inspection ‘addressed’ the recall and I can not have my lower control arm (under the scope of the recall) replaced under this campaign even though it does not expire till 2006! It is unlikely the visual inspection was done because Kevin Miller @ Paul Miller Audi in Parsippany, NJ, the recall service adviser, told me that the technician visually inspected the ball joint by looking under the rubber seal. Is that possible? Isn’t it permanently sealed? Another issue is Audi of America recall campain is a hoax. More

Brought my car in with an oil light on - standard Audi problem. Refused to fix under warranty, "call Audi of America" crap like everywhere else. Told them I knew that but still need an estimate of the c problem. Refused to fix under warranty, "call Audi of America" crap like everywhere else. Told them I knew that but still need an estimate of the cost if I have to do it myself.<br><br>Told me they did a compression test, "low compression" and that - and I quote - "always means the cylinder is cracked". A whole new engine was going to be $10,000. Then a strong push to buy a new one. I picked up the car and they said it hadn't moved from the spot I parked it in. Then they realized that was a mistake to say, had to cover themselves by saying they did the compression test out in the parking lot. It was raining heavily that day. Totally dishonest about the problem, and what they did to diagnose it.<br><br>Struck up a conversation with a mechanic - said if it is any heavy engine issue they can't fix it anyway, they farm out all the work to some company in the midwest so any engine work is $10,000 no matter what it is. Also said they've done so many oil pump changes they would go under if they had to pay for them all.<br><br>End result - an independent shop that will do the work found it only needed a new oil pump and some valves. More
