2 hour drive wasted! Well, I found Paul Brown through a radio commercial (WPIG) so I decided to go to the website and check it out. I found a used vehicle that I was ready Well, I found Paul Brown through a radio commercial (WPIG) so I decided to go to the website and check it out. I found a used vehicle that I was ready to put my wife into. 2012 Hyundai SantaFe. (stock PR2395A) .So we decided to take a 2 hour drive from Niagara Falls, NY to look at it. It was a very nice vehicle, and we were both happy with it. However, once we had got there, it seemed to be a cluster of an operation. I decided to keep my sales person in mind (Mary Colley) since I had talked to her on the phone. We waited about 20 minutes before we met with her. I could of talked to someone else. Then, Mary had to find a dealer License plate so we could drive. Vehicle did have a few issues- CEL was on, Radio did not work, and a seat was ripped in back. Now the fun part... When watching the video online on the vehicle, the CEL was on. Vehicle has been in there inventory since May (120+ days as we were told by Mary) Now this is something we couldnt take home that same day because CEL would have to be fixed, so that means we would have to drive back another day, 2 Hours to buy it and another 2 to drive back home. $9999.00 was price. I said take $500 off for a vehicle that was not even ready to be delivered, fix seat, and radio. My offer was for $9499.00. We were counter offered and told they would fix CEL and give us $200.00 towards a radio. They claim they did not know anything about radio issue. We were not happy with that and walked out. Now, you would think that a vehicle would be ready to be sold from a "DEALER". I would not of minded driving another 2 hours if my offer was accepted. I even told Mary right off the bat that I am a service department manager from another dealership back home. You would think that if that was told to me, they would do everything ! Lets get this person into a car! No efforts were made to keep us there and sign. Now if the vehicle is going to auction, because it is on the lot too long, they will not get what they want as a lot pricewhich they could get from the average person. Now would you rather loose $500 or maybe $2500? (not saying they will loose that amount. could be +/-) They might break even, take a loss, or a gain. who would know? Definitely would not recommend or go back to buy myself a New Truck! More
