He went above and beyond to understand my car's problem along with the mechanic(s). Because I didn't know what was wrong when I got there, I didn't know how long I would be at the dealership. Charlie came into the waiting room three times to give me updates on the issue and expected time. I am happy to report that I knew that the issue had been corrected the minute I drove off of the lot. Sold my truck I bought Chevy 1500 wt during their 25% off 2014 model sale. It was the last wt they had. I put down payment and signed for it. Then left it there be I bought Chevy 1500 wt during their 25% off 2014 model sale. It was the last wt they had. I put down payment and signed for it. Then left it there because they said they could get the bed linex'ed for cheaper than I could. Was told Tuesday or Wednesday should be ready to pick up. Then was called Wednesday and told that they had made mistake and another O'brien Chevrolet location had come Tuesday and picked it up and sold it to one of their customers not knowing it had already been sold. I was fine with this. I said ok no big deal I don't mind about what color or anything. Whatever other wt model you have. I feel like right there I could have been a crazy customer that went off on them and demanded they get that exact same truck back. Thought of course there would be no issue since we already have a signed contract and they already have earnest money from me they would just find me another truck for same price. But they said sorry that was the last base model they had and I could pay more for better trim package truck but they were not going to honor the same price I got the WT model for because they already were losing too much money on the deal. I of course find that very hard to believe but even if it were true... Sorry you guys are admitting you made an error and "didn't enter it in your system right" so my truck got re-sold, so now make it right for the customer. If you have to take a hit, might have to take a hit. Just turned my experience from telling everyone Monday and Tuesday "hey this place is awesome" to now "hey this place could really care less about their customers, here's my experience with them..." Ended up to speaking to the manager who was holding firm on just come pay more for a truck that has more options on it that you could care less whether the truck had them or not. When I refused he acted like he was doing me a big favor by searching the area for other trucks same model and year. I thought that would have already been done. But he called me back and said he found one out of state but it had something different about the breaks so it would cost 300 more. I don't know if there really was something better about this truck's breaks or if he was finding way to charge me for having someone drive to pick it up. But either way I found it funny that they still needed to re-write a contract for only 300 bucks difference. I still just felt this was ridiculous they were charging me for their error. Not to mention again I feel like I could have been a pain in the rear customer and demanded a new truck like the one I bought. Not one with several hundred miles on it by the time it was driven here by them. The manager said it was the best he could do and gave me my money back. Very frustrating experience. I would think I could sue them and take them to court and what have you since i have the signed contract but since I am not threatening them with that, they don't feel need to take care of me. More
customer for years . not anymore I used to tell people this was a great dealership i had bought new car here and take both my cars here for service . I had known the same people there i seen a few fired right when i was there .the same service people i had been used to quit or were fired. And i once thought i would buy again from pat obrien south again but i must say im not happy with the constant turn over . How good would you focus on your work with the constant ax hanging over your head . I feel the dealership should take care of their people so they can care for customers best. This is just not the case here . I have even come across 3 people i know that work and have worked here over my years coming here . So i am the best real review for all sides . And one time i thought i found my dealer i would stick with but ill start to look elsewhere. Mick carp. Brunswick ohio. Also i understand its part of the business most say always turnover but why? I would like to see some of the people there i go back a month later and people are gone. 4 years back i bought my new car from them. I thought the people were great now... All new group. I just dont have that trust feeling anymore . More
