Really worked with us My fiance and I have been wanting to get a suv for me so I could get out of the compact car and into a safer vehicle, so Saturday (3/5) we went to Sub My fiance and I have been wanting to get a suv for me so I could get out of the compact car and into a safer vehicle, so Saturday (3/5) we went to Subaru and test drove the forester and outback without any hassle and he was really nice and there wasn't any pressure, so he let us walk away to think on it. So the other vehicle that my fiance had in mind was a Ford Explorer and we went to the Ford of Gainesville after that. It was a little silly but even before we were parked and had the car off we were already being approached. Her name was Ivy Lee and she worked at the Hyundai side but the Ford and Hyundai are together in Gainesville, so she got some information from us and since we were interested in test driving got us a key. Coming from the Subaru where there was no pressure it was a bit difficult to keep up with her trying to sell us the car when we just wanted to test drive it. So my fiance is more of the money maker and at first Ivy was only talking to her about the Ford, but my fiance told her that I was the one she needed to impress. We went on the test drive and my fiance was impressed when Ivy wanted her to drive it as well even though she wasn't going to be the primary driver which Subaru didn't offer. We get back and I like the explorer a lot so we start talking about numbers and where we can be each month and interest rates and what not. By this time Ivy had pretty much dropped her saleswoman act and became more honest with us because my fiance was being completely honest and wanted her to be as well. We had certain things we wanted on the explorer and unfortunately they did not have the exact one I wanted at the dealer. So then the sales manager Matt came up and offered us really sweet deals on the one we test drove, but it still didn't have exactly what I wanted, and if we were going to be paying $400+ each month I wanted it to be perfect. So then he offered a Certified preowed for $425/ month which was just $25 cheaper than the new one and we thought of that as an insult. So after that we were about to leave and I was telling them that I was sorry for wasting their time, when Matt said he wanted to find my vehicle with a locate if we could just give him 15 minutes. So my fiance agreed and since I have not had many hours at work they offered me an application. I was filling out the application when he came back and had a plan set up. Once I was done my fiance seemed pleased so I looked it over and it was the one for me at a good interest rate and payment plan with a good trade in on my car. He was really working with us to try and we really appreciated that, so he wanted to give us the best deal for our wedding gift. We ended up signing for that car and would have to come back another day to do the rest of the paper work and pickup the explorer. The paper work was still pretty good mostly everything that was said followed through and Jackie was really sweet. Ivy was very enthusiastic the whole time and was genuinely happy for us. We plan on keeping this Explorer around for as long as possible so Thank you! More
