My review of this dealership is not a typical review. It's an open, honest, heartfelt review of my encounter with Mr. Gene Margolies, Mr. Terry Mullane and Mr. Ron Parks from Parks Ford Wesley Chapel and It's an open, honest, heartfelt review of my encounter with Mr. Gene Margolies, Mr. Terry Mullane and Mr. Ron Parks from Parks Ford Wesley Chapel and the Parks Motor Group. In the past I was diagnosed with late stage cancer. I was in need of a used car to (1) drive locally (2) was reliable enough to use to go back and forth to the hospital for cancer treatments. I went on the on-line used car platforms and saw a 2008 AWD Infiniti EX35 Journey for sale. I spoke with multiple people at this dealership including Mr. Gene Margolies Sales Manager. He reassured me although the car was 15 years old, it was in super clean condition, passed the dealerships physical inspection and was safe to be driven. After agreeing on a price, all paperwork and related fees to purchase the car were concluded. The dealership had an employee deliver the car and drop it off several hours away. I accepted delivery of the vehicle. The person who dropped it off expressed he was in a rush, had to reach the other employee bringing him back to the dealership and had little or no time to spend with me. After I received the car, I had the disappointment of my life. The front floor mats were filthy and covered in mold. The entire car looked like homeless people had been seeping in it. The interior leather was torn, cut and destroyed in multiple places. The steering wheel was black and filthy from years of not being taken care of. The car had been painted multiple times with massive paint over runs all over the rear bumper. Dings were located all over the car. It was far from ready for sale. In addition to the cosmetic issues, the car was in need of mechanical repair. After no less then six unanswered emails and phone calls to Mr. Gene Margolies, I was told that the dealership had engaged a "new" third party vendor to recondition and prep all of the used cars for sale. "I simply don't know what happened in this case" expressed Mr. Margolies. I spent several thousand dollars to recondition the car and also fix any and all mechanical related issues. I also had a second fob made for the vehicle which was never provided at time of purchase. Six months later from the original date of purchase, I put on roughly a total of 500 miles on the odometer. The car ran very well and was now very clean and reliable. I had all up to date service done and purchased new top of the line floor mats. I had the car fully detailed no less then two times in six months and washed by hand every ten days. This past week sadly my oncologist informed me my cancer had spread, my status was terminal with only months to live. I reached out to Mr. Margolies and advised him of the very sad news. I had requested he please advise as to how much the dealership would pay to repurchase the car. I now had to focus on my end of life issues. I was ignored repeatedly and then I followed up with an email copying Mr. Terry Mullane VP and General Manager at the dealership. After many attempts I secured a reply from Mr. Margolies. A very cold two line reply stating the used car market had changed from the prior six months when I had purchased the vehicle. He would contact me the following morning via email. Next day after traveling home via flight from my oncologist and obtaining the worst news of my life, I received a one line email from Mr. Margolies. It stated I should click on a KBB link instant offer link. The fact the dealership would have sold me a vehicle in the fist place with representations and warranties made about the overall appearance and mechanical condition of the car all appeared to be false. Secondly after explaining my overall health and terminal cancer status with only months to live, you would at a minimum hope to receive some type of compassion and help. To the contrary. I have never encountered a more unprofessional and sleazy dealership in my life. Please avoid this place at all costs. The BBB rating is a D More
