THIS IS A CONTINUATION OF PREVIOUS REVIEW………. going on and that it was gonna cost me another $900 to get my car repaired. They needed my permission to start the repairs but no one called to let going on and that it was gonna cost me another $900 to get my car repaired. They needed my permission to start the repairs but no one called to let me know this until I called the service department so now it will be another day without my car and by the time I pick my car up tomorrow before I go to work, I will have spent $2400 on my vehicle for issues I was not having until they “repaired” my vehicle. Dave explained that the needed repairs had nothing to do with the previous repairs but he was going to try to help me out in regards to cost because he knew that I had just paid $1500 for repairs and have not had a chance to really drive my vehicle. since Dave made promises he could not keep he put William up to talking to me about my car. The time it took Dave to explain to William about the problem with my car. Dave could’ve called me to get permission to work on my car. I’ve had to use a car service to get me to and from work.(Duncan to Simpsonville). It is safe to say I will never set foot on park Buick, GMC‘s property ever again. I thought that bringing my Yukon to a GMC dealership I would get top notch service and I feel like I’ve been dealing with Shadetree mechanics. And I will be following up with the Better Business Bureau in regards to the shady business practices. More
If I could give them, zero stars, I would. If you want to deal with shady mechanics and service dept employees, then look no further you were in the right place at Parks Buick GMC . I have a 2 If you want to deal with shady mechanics and service dept employees, then look no further you were in the right place at Parks Buick GMC . I have a 2017 GMC Yukon Denali . I brought my Yukon to the dealership to have the left tail light replaced. I had a 7:30 AM appointment. My car was immediately taken back to one of the days once I was checked in I received a call around noon stating that that I also needed to have spark plugs and wires replaced, and that the heater hose was leaking coolant. I explain to the person that I was going out of town that next day and if all repairs could be completed so that I could have my car back that same day, they told me yes. It was almost 5 PM and I had heard nothing from the dealership so I called to check the status of my vehicle and they told me nothing had been done and that it would be the next day before they could complete the work supposedly the mechanic was working on another vehicle that was not as time sensitive as my vehicle. So I told the service department to replace the tail light and I will come back another time to have the other services that they recommended to be done. prior to the tail light being fixed my car was running fine after they replaced the tail light my car was still running fine. I was due to go out of town again, so I figured let me take my car back to the dealership to get the spark plugs replaced and the heater hose replaced. Once again I had a 7:30 AM appointment and I got a phone call saying that after the heater hose was removed they saw other hoses that were leaking and needed to be replaced so I gave them permission to go ahead and do the repairs. I got a phone call Just before the service department was due to close telling me that my vehicle was ready to go and I explained that I have been up all day and I have not had any sleep because I had worked 3rd shift the previous night so I would come the next morning to pick up my vehicle. I paid $1500 for services rendered drove my car for about an hour and a half preparing to go out of town and the vehicle started riding rough. I immediately called the dealership. Let them know that something was wrong with my car. they asked if I could bring it back in, but I could not because I was on my way out of town, so I told them I will have it towed Monday morning. Monday morning rolls around. I called the dealership to see if they could tow the vehicle or if I would be reimbursed if I paid the tow truck driver to have my vehicle brought to them. I could not get anyone to answer the phone so I borrowed my neighbors car And drove to the dealership while I was driving to the dealership I called again and a woman picked up but she couldn’t answer my question so she transferred me to someone else. someone kept picking up the line and put me on hold and then finally my call was disconnected. I got to the dealership, talk to william and asked him the same question I asked the lady on the phone and he immediately gave me a phone number to the tow truck company they use. called the tow truck company and had my car towed, I rode in a tow truck with my vehicle. They immediately pulled my vehicle back into a bay and proceeded to tell me that the diagnostic code was saying that it was unrelated to the repairs that were made previously, I was told that there was a line related to my fuel injector that was malfunctioning and needed to be replaced And I say again before I brought my car in to get the recommended services that they told me was needed My car was running fine with no issues. No warning lights are coming on. My vehicle arrives at the dealership on the tow truck around 10 AM. I did not get my car back that same day. I called the dealership the next day around noon to check the status of my vehicle and another service employee (William) finally answered my call and stated that the other service employee (Dave) that I was working with explained to him everything that was More
Summary: They didn’t perform the repair I asked for, seemingly caused more damage while in service, and forced me to pay for the damage that I am pretty certain they caused. I gave them many opportuniti seemingly caused more damage while in service, and forced me to pay for the damage that I am pretty certain they caused. I gave them many opportunities to make it right, but they (Jonathan primarily) will admit no wrong. Full story: I scheduled an appointment for A/C blowing hot air. When I picked up my vehicle, they looked at the paperwork and said “looks like we did an oil change and tire rotation” - Ummmm…no, that’s not at all what I asked for. I asked for A/C repair. Confused, they had no idea what happened, so they apologized and said they’d look into the A/C and get back to me. I told them that I would not pay for an oil change and tire rotation that I didn’t ask for. Note: I had to say this. They didn’t offer to waive the fee for doing something I didn’t ask for. I had to tell them I wasn’t going to pay for something I didn’t ask for. As an aside - while I was in there dropping off my truck, one of their employees came in with a box of liquor (at work - front office??). Everybody in there started laughing and joking, one of them said “our customers bring us to drink” … Ummm - hey - your customer, standing right here… In hindsight, maybe this makes a little more sense after my experience. A couple days and $1000 later, after diagnosing and repairing what I asked for, I pick up my truck with working A/C. I was not charged for the oil and tire rotation that they performed but I didn’t ask for. Aside from wasted time traveling back and forth, not a big deal, whatever. Then things went south. A few days after the A/C repair, my check engine light came on. I read the code myself - related to bad oxygen/fuel mixture. I take it back to these guys to look at, thinking that it may be related to their repair a few days before. They call back and say there’s a leak in an air box, $440 to fix. They send a picture of a giant hole in plain sight toward the front of the engine that’s causing the problem. They say the hole has been there “a while”. I ask them - are you sure about that? Are you sure you didn’t put that hole there when you were replacing my A/C condenser that sits 6 inches away from the hole? They say, nope, hole has been there. We didn’t put it there. $440 to fix it. My story: - Truck is 6 years old, 87k miles, no prior engine work whatsoever. Only oil/filter/battery replacement. - I’ve never seen this hole under the hood. - These service guys performed a “multi point” inspection before the oil change that I didn’t ask for. This inspection turned up nothing, not even the giant hole in the engine that would be difficult for anybody to miss, let alone a trained eye. - Somebody spent probably a couple hours working on the A/C, with this giant hole (allegedly) staring them right in the face, and said nothing about it. - There is (allegedly) no camera footage in their shop of my truck before/after repair. - The check engine light came on just days after my A/C repair, despite the hole being there “a while”. Their story: - The A/C repair had nothing to do with the hole, and the hole looks like it’s been there a while. Now, I can’t prove they put the hole there, but if I’m a betting man, odds favor them putting the hole there. It’s just hard to believe everything else that would have to happen for the hole to already be there. Since I can’t prove this, and since I can’t sit around without a working vehicle, I just have to accept them calling me, their customer, wrong, and I have to pay for the repair myself. For something that I’m pretty sure they broke. In some circles, the customer is always right, but not this one. Two visits, two screwups. I will not return. More
Took 2015 GMC Canyon in for Safety Recall N202325410. Recall states service will be performed for you at NO CHARGE. The power steering has a short and stops working while driving. Have had multiple incid Recall states service will be performed for you at NO CHARGE. The power steering has a short and stops working while driving. Have had multiple incidents. Very Dangerous!! The recall is to repair this short. Parks service department first said they changed the vehicle programming to not allow the power steering to start back working once steering assist is lost. WHAT??? I mentioned to multiple incidents where the steering stopped working. After reassessing the situation he came back with a surcharge to extort $475.00 for the recall repair. I called GM customer service for assistance. The rep said she would reach out to Parks and get me an answer. Parks will not talk to them nor call the GM customer service back according to the GM customer service rep. What a bunch of scammers. EVERYONE should stay far far away from this place! AGAIN, the recall states "This service will be performed for you at NO CHARGE" Not a surcharge of $475.00! There is no fine print anywhere on this document that states ANY EXCEPTION to performed for you at NO CHARGE! To be a loyal GMC customer and have owned a 2007 Sierra Denali, a 2016 HD Denali, and this 2015 Canyon SLT is like a slap in the face. Looks like its time for a Toyota! Do not go to these scammers for ANYTHING!!! You will be VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!! Also asked for a letter stating why Safety Recall was not performed unless the $475.00 surcharge was paid so if the non repaired recall causes an accident, we can sue the xxxx out of them was refused!
