Disappointed with Service at Park Place Volvo Service Center I recently had a disappointing experience at Park Place Volvo Service Center. From the start, the staff seemed disorganized, and communicat Center I recently had a disappointing experience at Park Place Volvo Service Center. From the start, the staff seemed disorganized, and communication was frustratingly lacking. I waited a day and a half for an update on my vehicle, only to receive vague and unhelpful responses. The service itself was both overpriced and inadequate. They quoted me over $1,500 to repair a couple of sensors and a small chrome bumper. To my dismay, I discovered that the sensors, originally installed by Volvo, had simply been taped onto the bumper and had fallen off on their own. When I requested that the warranty cover this issue, I was informed it wasn’t eligible, despite the circumstances. I included some pictures to show how minor the issues were compared to the exorbitant prices they wanted to fix them—each issue was quoted at over $850! I also asked them to fix one of my keys that wasn’t working properly, but they didn’t even touch or mention it during the service. After refusing the proposed service, I was threatened with having to return the loaner car immediately to avoid extra charges, even though it was already 3:30 PM. This added unnecessary stress to an already frustrating situation. When I finally recovered my car, I noticed two new scratches on the back bumper, which was the last thing I expected after such a frustrating experience. Juan Escalera, the service manager, was indifferent and seemed to lack any care or pride in the service or the company he represents. He promised to have his manager call me the following morning to discuss the issues, but I never received that call. Instead, I had to reach out myself just to retrieve my car. It felt like he was more focused on getting my money and moving my car out of his hands than on providing quality service. I expected better from a reputable dealership. I was considering upgrading to a new Hybrid XC90 before this experience, but now I have to think hard about whether I still want this kind of quality without any warranty. If I decide to get one, why would I choose Park Place? I hope they can address these issues, as I would like to see improvements for future customers. More
