Hello, After speaking with our dealership team, we learned you initially called Fred Smith and expressed interest in a Chevy Tahoe on the lot. Mr. Smith asked you what would be a good time to drop in and view the vehicle, and you told him you were unsure but would get back to him. The following day, Mr. Smith was notified that your wife had dropped by without an appointment to view the vehicle. At that time, he walked her through the vehicle. After she mentioned she was looking to trade her Lexus in for the Tahoe, Mr. Smith called you back to discuss how you would be titling the vehicle. You said you’d be going through your credit union. Mr. Smith began that processing, and you then decided you would pay cash. At this time, Mr. Smith let you know that the trade-in value for your Lexus would be less than what you were hoping for due to a bad Carfax report. You indicated that you did not wish to complete the deal if we couldn’t give you more for your trade-in. Mr. Smith agreed to consult our local Lexus dealers regarding the vehicle’s worth. He was able to increase your trade value to $20,750 with a $1,250 tax savings, to which you initially agreed. However, when Mr. Smith called you back, you did not wish to go through with the deal due to the value of your trade-in. We’re happy to hear that you found a vehicle that suits your needs and we wish you well.
