I had one of the most disappointing dealership experiences of my life at Park Place Mercedes-Benz Arlington. I am in the process of moving back to the U.S. from an overseas military assignment experiences of my life at Park Place Mercedes-Benz Arlington. I am in the process of moving back to the U.S. from an overseas military assignment and traveled over 10 hours each way — specifically for two days — just to purchase a vehicle I found listed on Cars.com at a clearly advertised price. Prior to my arrival, I coordinated with the dealership, placed a hold deposit, and had financing fully arranged through my own bank. During these conversations, the salesman — fully aware of my situation and upcoming travel — convinced me to apply for financing through Mercedes-Benz Financial, promising a much lower interest rate. I was pre-approved before flying in. However, once I arrived at the dealership, the experience quickly fell apart. I was told that the financing they had approved me for did not apply to the AMG model I selected — a critical detail they either failed to disclose or failed to perform due diligence on to ensure the loan they had me apply for would actually apply to this car. Instead, they offered a different loan at almost double the original APR, roughly equal to my original bank loan that they had persuaded me to cancel. It felt very clear they were counting on the fact that, after traveling such a long distance, I would feel trapped into accepting worse terms. On top of that, the price of the car suddenly increased by $2,000. The salesman claimed he had to follow their internal "lead sheet" pricing and acted as if he had no knowledge of the price that was advertised on Cars.com — even trying to suggest that it might not be the same vehicle. To make matters worse, I was informed the car had an additional 1,500 miles on it because the manager had been using it as a daily driver. No price adjustment was offered for this additional wear. Finally, the car itself was presented with multiple rock chips, minor dents, and scratches — obvious cosmetic damage that could have been addressed during the week the dealership was supposedly holding the car for me. Instead, it was delivered without any attempt at correction, despite the expectation that a dealership of this reputation would deliver vehicles in excellent condition. This experience was completely unprofessional, misleading, and unacceptable. Park Place Mercedes-Benz Arlington wasted my time, money, and trust. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with this dealership: get every promise in writing before you commit to anything — or better yet, take your business elsewhere. More

I purchased a brand new 2025 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cargo van from Mercedes-Benz of Arlington, TX on March 13, 2025, with only 5 miles on it. Just 15 days later, I noticed an oil leak coming from the engine— van from Mercedes-Benz of Arlington, TX on March 13, 2025, with only 5 miles on it. Just 15 days later, I noticed an oil leak coming from the engine—completely unacceptable for a brand-new commercial vehicle. My van has now been in service for 5 days, and despite having “certified” mechanics, the dealership still can’t locate the source of the leak. This van is essential for my business, and every day it sits in their service department, I am losing money. To make matters worse, the service manager and general manager have been unhelpful. They have refused to offer a replacement or any form of economic compensation, even though this is clearly a factory defect. It makes me wonder—did they already know about this issue and just hid it to make the sale? Now, the service manager has informed me that since they can’t locate the leak, they will have to open the engine to investigate further. This is absolutely unbelievable—I paid over $60,000 for a brand-new vehicle, and now I’m going to be stuck with a rebuilt engine before I’ve even had a chance to fully use it for my business. To add insult to injury, they provided me with a loaner vehicle that is much smaller than my cargo van, making it nearly impossible to use for my business. On top of that, they made me sign an agreement stating that I can’t drive it more than 100 miles per day and that I will be fully responsible for any damages or scratches. Given the nature of my work, the cargo floor will inevitably scratch the moment I load a pallet into it—so this loaner is practically useless. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I expected much better from Mercedes-Benz. If you’re considering buying a vehicle from this dealership, think twice. Their lack of accountability, poor customer service, and failure to stand behind their vehicles have left me regretting my purchase. On April 4, 2025, the service manager called me to tell me that they have no clue of where the engine oil leak is coming from. As I mentioned before, my Sprinter cargo van has been at Park Place Motorcars of Arlington for the last 7 days and this is unacceptable. I am an Army Veteran who’s just requesting a cargo van equal exchange but Mercedes executive Mr Jeffrey declined my request by saying that is premature at this time to talk about the exchange and my question is, where’s Merecedes Benz code of ethics? TLDR: Jason Li: excellent. Rest: do not expect a positive experience unless you are willing to give them your money no questions asked. Jason Li was our salesperson and extre Rest: do not expect a positive experience unless you are willing to give them your money no questions asked. Jason Li was our salesperson and extremely helpful. He was courteous, respectful and answered all our questions. Highly recommend working with him - nothing negative to say about him. However my experience with the other staff was wholeheartedly underwhelming. I called multiple times seeking a deal for a car knowing it was worth nowhere near the price they wanted and was laughed at or made an insulting counteroffer. Yet as time went on they would lower the price online by several thousand. In addition, I asked for information repeatedly before making my trip to the dealership since I was coming hours from out of town and received no response. Curious why there was no enthusiasm to turn over inventory they had over 5 months ago- basically furniture at that point. I suppose they have plenty of clients to pay their markups no questions asked but I didn’t make my money by making bad deals so they’re out of their mind if I pay what they initially offer - the subsequent markdowns tell me I was right. That is the game of car buying and they have no desire to differentiate from the others. More
