Got an email from Mazda saying they're having a tire sale, buy three get one for a dollar. After doing some research I chose the Kumho Crugen HP71, which was one of the tires listed for my car. Made an appointment on 4/18/2023 at Paretti Mazda for Monday 4/24/2023 to get four new tires. I also chose an alignment from the list of other services. I got a confirmation email from Mazda listing the Kumho tires, the alignment, and a total installed price. I even called on Friday 4/21 with a question about the tires and was told that they had ordered the Kumho tires for me and that they would be there when we got there on Monday 4/24. My wife took the car in on Monday 4/24 at the assigned time. They installed four tires. She asked if they were doing the alignment, he said no and then asked if we wanted the same tires that were on the car, and my wife responded that we wanted the Kumho tires. When she got home, I looked at the receipt and found Paretti had overcharged us by a little over $100. No big deal, we'll get that corrected. I went outside and noticed they had not put Kumho tires on my car, but Toyo A36 tires. My wife doesn't know much about tires and said she just thought they had put the right ones on. I called the next morning and talked to a Service Rep and was told someone would call me back. Craig Diebold called me back. I explained the situation about the overage and the wrong tires being installed. He said that the Toyo tires were less expensive than the Kumho! According to the Mazda website the Toyo tires and more expensive, and that doesn’t make any sense since the bill was higher. He also said that it was probably because of the shop supplies, etc. Again, the Mazda website states that mounting, balancing, and shop supplies are included in the installed price. I told him all I wanted was the Kumho tires at the original price quoted to me when I placed the order. He begrudgingly agreed. We made an appointment for 4/26/2023. My wife brought the car in again and was immediately told by Craig that he said Toyo, not Kumho and tried to make it appear as if it’s my wife’s fault that they put a different tire on the car. We referred to the original order but were told by Craig that he didn’t know if they read those or not. Finally, he said he couldn’t find our order. I gave them that number on 4/25. After my wife insisted on talking to a manager, we were comped an oil change and tire rotation. We are not pleased with the service we received and just hope the service was done correctly. We are not sure of that. More
Purchased my first Mazda approximately 18 years ago from this dealership and were wonderful to deal with. I can only say they have maintained that level of excellence through the years which is why I'm sti this dealership and were wonderful to deal with. I drop my car off to get my oil changed and was able to pick it up within the hour. I’m so glad that they’re conveniently located to my business. I just have to walk a block.
