I'm not usually someone that writes a review, but time and time again, this dealership has infuriated me with how they go about offering their services. There have been numerous occasions where I asked to and time again, this dealership has infuriated me with how they go about offering their services. There have been numerous occasions where I asked to confirm the general conditions of my cars warranty (peeling paint, damage to oil tank, etc.) and they have NEVER given me a straight answer to the general conditions in which the warranty would still be in effect (mileage and time passed) and a general quote. When calling customer service, for this branch, its always "we don't deal with warranty stuff here, you'll have to come in and have it checked out first", which means that I'll have to pay them to run "diagnostics" to learn information that doesn't require them checking my vehicle (i.e. the mileage requirements for the warranty). I won't say that the work they do on the vehicle is terrible, but the customer service they offer is atrocious to the point where I always leave feeling that they want to squeeze every penny out of me. Definitely avoid this service center if you can. On the other hand, when I went to the Liberty Hyundai Service center in Mahwah, I received solid advice from an employee (possibly manager) Jim. Though this dealership wasn't able to help me with the paint chipping from my vehicle because they did not have a body shop he offered genuine advice on how I should go about solving my problem. TLDR: Avoid the Route 4 Paramus Hyundai Service center if you can. Go to Liberty Hyundai Service in Mahwah instead!!! More
I'd give -100 on a scale of 1 to 5 for my experience at Hyundai of Paramus if I could. I brought in my 2016 Hyundai Sonata into Paramus Hyundai for service over a month ago. I spoke with a very nasty wom Hyundai of Paramus if I could. I brought in my 2016 Hyundai Sonata into Paramus Hyundai for service over a month ago. I spoke with a very nasty woman behind the counter. I told her I needed a replacement fob. She charged my credit card for $738 for the replacement fob. According to JD Power in this article dated 3/23, a replacement key fob should cost $125. Hyundai of Paramus charged $735, it took over a month for a missing part to come in, and then they wanted to charge $100 more for installation even though they never said there was an additional charge for installation on our receipt for $735. Also, they wanted me to wait an hour to out together the key fob. See the average key fob cost here: https://www.jdpower.com/cars/shopping-guides/how-much-does-a-new-car-key-cost More

Beware of Annie R. 's "friendly" approach, especially if it is your first or second time visit for maintenance service at Hyundai Paramus. It will be easy to fall into h 's "friendly" approach, especially if it is your first or second time visit for maintenance service at Hyundai Paramus. It will be easy to fall into her pressure tactics if you do not question everything, or are not already knowledgeable about each "necessary" service. A pretty new car with under 8,000 miles so far, with no other broken compartments, does NOT require 5-6 different services that cost $300 each, Total of a $1,500+ overcharge of unnecessary services. Upon being asked if these were absolutely necessary (since this was all new to me at the time), Annie would conveniently leave out the fact that these are optional or unnecessary for a new car, but she would make you fear that if not done, there would be risks you don't want happening. Once I had highlighted the fact that my mileage was still very low for all of that, she said mileage in this case does NOT matter, and that not having come for maintenance every 6 months was the cause of this accumulation of costs & services. (which was very incompetent of her as a "service specialist"). Then she continued to lure me into the "special discount" deception, throwing flattering jokes & compliments my way in between. I believe there may be many new or amateur car owners falling into prey of these scams, if not fully aware. Having spoken to other Hyundai HQ vehicle researchers/engine quality inspectors & several other professional mechanics/services, ALL have come back to me telling me that I have been terribly scammed, and all but 1 service done was absolutely unnecessary at this time. These guilt-tripping, deceiving, pressuring tactics must cease to work. Hyundai Paramus, sometime sooner or later, these tactics will ruin your reputation for good. Every business has a goal to earn money, but approaching your customers as prey in every opportunity you get, is something different. I will not recommend Hyundai Paramus to ANYONE. More
After struggling to make an appointment for months, I took my car for a recall, turned out they couldn't perform the recall due to less than optimal battery of my car. They wanted to charge 500 for a bat took my car for a recall, turned out they couldn't perform the recall due to less than optimal battery of my car. They wanted to charge 500 for a battery. My car is not electric. What a nasty place, i regret buying Hyundai. I lost about 200 dollars on Uber and lost wages thinking it was a serious recall. Will complain to the customer bureau of NJ. More
