My experience with this dealership has been nothing short of a nightmare. This is a three-ring circus designed to leave the customer confused and frustrated enough to give up on whatever their original probl of a nightmare. This is a three-ring circus designed to leave the customer confused and frustrated enough to give up on whatever their original problem/inquiry was. Here is a simple timeline of my experience with Hyundai of Paramus: 1/31/2011: I purchased a 2010 Elantra with the intention of giving the car to my 22 year old son in the next 6 months (which I explained to the salesman, Vinnie Incorvaia, numerous times). I was assured by Mr. Incorvaia that the Warranty would be transferable to my son when he took over ownership of the vehicle. Mr. Incorvaia also explained that I would get a better price on the vehicle if I financed it, so I did. I was also “offered” (given) a more comprehensive warranty under Hyundai’s extra care package. I asked Steve Amato if this package was transferable to my son, and he said “yes, the warranty would correspond with the VIN number of the vehicle.” 2/01/2011: I became aware that the 10year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty is non-transferable to second owner. Also, the extra warranty that I purchased was non-transferable to a second owner, even if that owner is in the family. At this point, I called Steve Amato, the finance manager, to have him change the paperwork into my son's name, as he was the intended owner, before sending the paperwork in to the finance company. When you ask for Steve Amato, you are transferred to some other voicemail. I left a message for Steve, but he never called me back. 2/03/2011: I Called Vinny Incorvaia to explain the situation to him and mentioned that I also attempted to contact Steve Amato. Mr. Incorvaia told me he would see what he could do and call me back. 2/05/2011: I called Steve Amato and he informed me that I had to deal directly with the finance company. At this point, I asked for the contact information of the people I needed to speak with. Mr. Amato told me he would call me back in thirty minutes, but never did. 2/07/2011: Called Hyundai consumer affairs and spoke with Kevin ID 54309. Kevin told me to give him until Thursday to work on the case. I called to check on the status of the case on Wednesday and was told that Kevin simply closed the case without taking action. 2/09/2011: Called Hyundai Consumer Affairs again and spoke to Tasha ID 54322. Tasha attempted to contact the dealership and left a message for Steve Amato. 2/09/2011: Spoke to Lynelle ID 54201 from Consumer Affairs. Lynelle had spoken with Steve Amato from dealership and was told I purchased Extra care Warranty which would cover my son. Upon further investigation, I found that Extra Care warranty is non-transferable, just as the 10 year/ 100,000 mile powertrain warranty is non-transferable. Lynelle believed that he had found a sufficient answer, although he was misinformed by Mr. Amato, so he closed case # 4284986. 2/09/2011: Hyundai Consumer Affairs told me that the dealership would have to handle this directly, and that Hyundai of Paramus had been giving everyone the run around. (Imagine Hyundai Consumer Affairs being completely unable to get a straight answer from one of its own dealerships!) Kevin, from Hyundai Consumer Affairs, told me to call the General Manager of Hyundai of Paramus. 2/10/2011: I called Hyundai of Paramus to make appointment with GENERAL MANAGER Roco Auriemma. Predictably, I was told that he was not in today, and I was transferred to the sales manager Eric Bennett. Mr. Bennett told me he had to get in touch with his Hyundai rep. and that he would get back to me. Shockingly, Sales Manager Eric Bennett NEVER GOT BACK TO ME! 2/11/2011 Called again to speak to Eric Bennett, but he was not available. I left a voice message for Mr. Bennett, but did not hear back from him. 2/12/2011: I was contacted by Hyundai of Paramus to come get my license plates. Upon my arrival, I explained my problem, yet again, to salesman Vinny Incorvaia. Mr. Incorvaia is the salesman that sold me the vehicle and misinformed me about Hyundai’s warranties. To my surprise, Mr. Incorvaia was under the impression that the matter had been resolved by Finance Manager Steve Amato (news to me!). Mr. Incorvaia asked me to wait so that I could meet with Steve Amato directly. Mr. Amato then proceeded to explain to me that he needed to get in contact with his “Hyundai Rep.,” and to call on Tuesday for more information. Of course, I diligently followed up on Tuesday, only to be ignored yet again by Mr. Amato. As of this date, the matter has yet to be resolved. I am completely disgusted with the treatment I have received from Hyundai of Paramus. Even after being lied to, disrespected, and generally ignored, it seems to me that this matter could be easily rectified. I simply want my son to be added as co-owner of the car, or whatever needs to be done so that I can transfer ownership to him safely, knowing that the car is covered under all of the Warranties. As of now, I would discourage anyone from purchasing a vehicle from Hyundai of Paramus, or any other Hyundai dealership, for that matter. This dealership is the epitome of every negative stereotype I have ever heard about car salesman and car dealerships. The experience of buying a car from Hyundai of Paramus has been a TOTAL NIGHTMARE. More
I cannot begin to explain my experience with the used car sales purchase that I made in August. It has been a nightmare ever since. Let's start with the lies and sales practice issues that go on. Please d sales purchase that I made in August. It has been a nightmare ever since. Let's start with the lies and sales practice issues that go on. Please don't buy a car from this dealer. They play games and make you think you are nuts. You will get transferred all around and get no outcome that will satisfy you. -Used car was sold as "certified" and I found out it was never even looked out. Black oil, Black trans fluid, less then 3mm of brakes. This is some certification! -I was sold a 1,600 protection plan so that I could get a car if needed, as they don't have loaners, and they use this plan to help secure the fact that you will get a car as soon as you need one if you have this plan. They even tell you they will do it for you at the shop. That is a huge lie, I have lost so many day of work and never did they help me get a car. It is a rental car, you layout the money and they need a diagnosis code first. Beware... -The service manager thinks all this is funny, the staff does a lot of talking and joking and nobody listens to the problems. You bring a car in for service, you pay, and the car comes right back, because the work was never done. I was told an oil change was performed on 11/24/10, a week later my check engine light went on and I went to another dealer to have it looked at and he told me "when was the last time you had an oil change" your filter is wrong size and oil is black. This dealer is the epitome of what we hear about bad used car sales practices. If anyone has had similar experiences, I would love to stop this, please feel free to reach out to me or even better tell the Attorney General that this man Ron Jelling and that Bergen County Auto Group has to be stopped! Very rude once you buy a car. promise you the world but you end up with the raw deal in the end. they hide information on you to make the sale. when an issue comes up they will bribe you to fix the issue. you end up with the raw deal in the end. they hide information on you to make the sale. when an issue comes up they will bribe you to fix the issue. Stay away from this dealership. will not honor any advertised deals from other dealerships they give you the runaround of why the ad you brought in cannot be done and is a lie More
Horrible service, but I wanted the car so bad I actually sat through the grueling process. My salesman was awful he was so busy running around yet nothing was getting done for me. I don't know why buying sat through the grueling process. My salesman was awful he was so busy running around yet nothing was getting done for me. I don't know why buying a car would have to take 7 hours! I did not even haggling for a deal, and I got slammed full sticker price for the car. I will never go back there again, the only reason I did buy there was because it was close to home and I really love my Sonata. More

I wasn't too sure of what too expect from the new place, but I can assure you it is a world of a difference from the old one. From making my appointment with a sweet woman named Hether,to the warm hello I r but I can assure you it is a world of a difference from the old one. From making my appointment with a sweet woman named Hether,to the warm hello I received as I pulled in, then dealing with a wonderful woman with a hysterical laugh named Ann(who by the way knows her stuff)and then the engaging coversation I had with Mike who explained the move and made me feel right at home. The staff seemed very upbeat and happy to work there. I also liked that I was able to watch my car being worked on from the waiting area and that I was updated as the service was performed. Although the waiting area leaves alot to be desired, and the old tv only had one channel, my time still went by quickly as I was entertained and not forgotten by the staff. Another plus was that the price quoted for my service from Hether when I made the appointment was exactly what I paid. I will definitely tell all my friends and family of my wonderful experience. If there was a "10" score for friendliness, these guys would have gotten it. The whole time I was there to buy my new '11 Sonata, they were polite, no-pressure, AND entertaining! It felt more like I was w would have gotten it. The whole time I was there to buy my new '11 Sonata, they were polite, no-pressure, AND entertaining! It felt more like I was waiting at a friends's house than at a suit filled car dealership. Eric and Glen were very accomodating - I test drove my car 3 or 4 times before deciding to buy ... they had no problems showing me different models, different interiors ... they were really good about that. This dealership has a different "flavor" than the usual - try them out - I'm sure you'll be just as happy as I was. More
