Wow... From reading some of the negative reviews, one would think that Paramus Hyundai was the worst car dealership on the face of the earth! - but that's not what I'd experienced. It's a good thing that would think that Paramus Hyundai was the worst car dealership on the face of the earth! - but that's not what I'd experienced. It's a good thing that I did my homework, read as much as I was able to read and shopped around prior to visiting Paramus Hyundai. I knew exactly what I wanted and my expectations thus far exceed whatever I could have imagined. I bought a 2011' Sonata Hybrid. I took delivery approximately two weeks ago and couldn't be happier. I was met by Bruce Boguski, who was very sincere, straight-forward and informative. I got right to the point, told him what I wanted and what I was willing to pay. I traded in my Audi A-4 and Bill Weismann was able to assist with that as well. Negotiating is a "healthy" thing, and I'm glad to say that they really wanted to sell me a car, and I really wanted to by a car. It was a great experience and everyone walked away happy. I walked into Paramus Hyundai five times prior to inking the deal and to be honest - each time, Bruce listened to what I had to say and was extremely professional each time. I've already had people comment regarding my new car and I already know that Bruce will take care of them. I hope that the service department is just as great! I highly recommend Paramus Hyundai and I'm glad that DealerRater provides this service, providing a place where thoughts can be exchanged freely. Rob K More

My daughter and I were treated cordially and with respect upon arrival. Instead of imposing a vehicle I was given the opportunity to browse around. Robert Scott gave me details, pros and cons of each model upon arrival. Instead of imposing a vehicle I was given the opportunity to browse around. Robert Scott gave me details, pros and cons of each model I was interested in. This helped me make a well-informed decision. I selected a 2012 Hyundai Sonata. Steve & Ludwin worked on my numbers and were very honest and gave me options since I was seeking a specific monthly payment. They came pretty close to what I was looking for and offered me a great deal I could not resist. I love my car, but I really love the way we were treated. It made my car shopping experience worth remembering. I was blessed with a great team! Thank you! God bless! More
Had a terrible experience with Paramus. Was looking for a 2012 Elantra GLS and needed to get it by a certain date because my wife was starting a job. Spoke to them on a Wednesday, they didn't have one in a 2012 Elantra GLS and needed to get it by a certain date because my wife was starting a job. Spoke to them on a Wednesday, they didn't have one in stock. After trying to convince me to go with the more expensive Elantra limited (because supposedly the leather seats would help the resale price) Rob told me that if I was was willing to sign a purchase agreement he would try to swap with another dealer to get the car when I needed it. I told him that if he could get the car I wanted, when I needed it, I'd be happy to. Teyia called back a couple of hours later to confirm that they found what I wanted and that Rob would pick it up for me the following Tuesday. We discussed price and several times Teyia confirmed that the quote I was being given was the final price, plus tax and registration. Teyia took my fax number and said she would send me the purchase agreement, which I wanted to get signed so that I knew I had the car. She never did. The next day I spoke to Rob and he said he'd e-mail it to me, but never did. I reached Rob again on Monday and again asked for the purchase agreement and he e-mailed me a photo of a purchase agreement that he took with his iPhone. Nothing I could even sign (thus not an actual agreement) and it had about $6-700 worth of bogus fees on it - VIN etching on the windows (never asked for it), and about $500 worth of "administration" fees - computer, document, etc. I tried to reach both Rob and Teyia throughout the day, but my calls were never returned (at several points I got the impression that I was deliberately being avoided). I needed to speak to someone because I was supposed to pick up the car the next day and hadn't gotten any details on what to bring, financing, etc. I finally got someone on the phone around 7pm, and she said "who told you the car would be in tomorrow?" She assured me that Eric Bennett, the Paramus Sales Manager would call me back within 5 minutes. He didn't and so 45 minutes later I called back and finally got Eric on the phone. He told me that my car wasn't scheduled to come in for another week. He explained the delay by saying, "It's being shipped from Korea, delays happen." (remember that Rob was supposedly picking it up at a nearby dealer). Eric said that because it was so late in the day, he wouldn't be able to figure out what was going on, but that they'd call me in the morning. He wasn't rude, per se, but no "sorry for the misunderstanding" or anything like that. He also suggested that I shouldn't have waited until 8pm to call (after which I explained that I'd been trying to reach someone all day (and again no apology for that)). The next morning I never got a call. I sent Rob and Teyia an e-mail clarifying that unless we resolved matters that day (Tuesday) I had no intention of purchasing the car (they had my credit card info for the purchase agreement and I wanted to be explictly clear that there was no such agreement). I got no response. Two days later, Rob texts and calls me to say that he thinks they "might" have a car for me. I told him I wasn't interested. Not only would I not recommend them to a friend, I would tell my friends not to go there. More
The overall experience with Hyundai of Paramus was great. They went above and beyond our expectations. The only thing that could have made the experience better would have been if the sales person listened m They went above and beyond our expectations. The only thing that could have made the experience better would have been if the sales person listened more and could have given us answers to what we were saying and asking pertaining to certain concerns. I would still recommend this dealership well above the others that I had dealt with. More
2 very wrong things with this dealership, 1. False Advertisement 2. Terrible Sales Ethics. I go into the dealership expecting a great deal, especially since it was advertised. The ad quotes SONATA GL Advertisement 2. Terrible Sales Ethics. I go into the dealership expecting a great deal, especially since it was advertised. The ad quotes SONATA GLS 2012 for $84/m + $2599 down. Includes $400 College (I qualify), $500 Military (Don't Qualify) and $500 Dealer Loyalty (Don't Qualify). Understanding I don't qualify for $1000 rebates, I was willing to make the difference. However, when i talked with Vinnie, he states "bottom line" I can get a car for you for $188/m + $4000 down because I don't qualify for the Military + Dealer Loyalty. I told him that doesn't make sense at all. So, I explained to him that I would be paying more that $4000 more than the advertised price, not what I wanted. It would be fair by working up from the sale price. Nope, thinking he was slick (more like stupid) he shows me the national price of $199/month + $2599 and adamnatly offers the same $188/month offer. I didn't like it so I said no thank you and began to leave. He stops me and gets his manager. I have no idea why they think consumers are stupid, but he offers me his "bottom line" price of $100/month +$7000 + fees. I couldn't believe someone would think that is a great deal! I balked at him and left. This place has uneducated sales managers who don't know the ad information and can't add 1+1. Their ads are impractical and not for general public. Who the heck will graduate from college and be in the military and bought a car from that specific dealership? Its improbable. Watch out for this dealership and their false ads (Bait and switch) and with magical fees that are added onto your finally cost. I am lodging a complaint to the BBB and Attorney general for illegal practices. More
Hello I own a Hyundai elantra and I just want to say, that it was a pleasure coming to your dealership because of the service advise Annie Ramaglia. She was such a pleasure to deal with. And it was so wo that it was a pleasure coming to your dealership because of the service advise Annie Ramaglia. She was such a pleasure to deal with. And it was so wonderful to walk into the service part of the dealership and be greeted right away by her. She was knowledgable about the vehicle and the service that my vehicle required. Absolutely the WORST dealership I have ever been to! When we traded in our matured lease, they agreed to pay for the extra charges on the vehicle. We never received a check and began receiving bills for the we traded in our matured lease, they agreed to pay for the extra charges on the vehicle. We never received a check and began receiving bills for the old car that they never took care of. The sales manager would never return my calls and told me that the fact that we never received the check was "not his problem" and hung up on my husband. I then went in to speak with him and told him it was pretty simple...obviously check to see if we had cashed said check (which we did not), stop payment, issue new check...So simple my 2nd grader can do it. He had no answer for me. Still have not heard back. In the process with filing a claim with consumer affairs. Service department also horrible...Brand new car was in the shop for the same thing twice already! With no rental cars available! STEER CLEAR OF THESE RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, @$$&*(*&(%$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More
