Went to Hyundai Paramus to change oil. They wasn't able to find my appointment which I've made a day before. The result is 2.5 hours in waiting for regular oil change. Even payment processing was slug able to find my appointment which I've made a day before. The result is 2.5 hours in waiting for regular oil change. Even payment processing was sluggish (5 mins). The price is another story. I was told that it's gonna cost $35. The invoice was for $78 to change regular oil at Hyundai Santa Fe. They included $14 for 'fluid disposal'. Why do I have to care about that stuff? The final price tag after discounts was $45. I'd better change oil in a small workshop across the street. The staff was very friendly though. More

I traveled an extra 45 minutes to pay more than 2 initial quotes I had previously received. I shopped the Genesis against the Mercedes E class and not only did I get way more for my money, but the profession quotes I had previously received. I can honestly say they're doing the right thing at Paramus Hyundai and I can see why they sell so many cars and have such a satisfactory rating. My cousin Also lives in Nanuet and recommended this dealer and I'm glad I took his advice. The two Mercedes dealers should take notes from Eric and his team. Jefferson Palau is a terrific car salesperson. He really means it when he says he puts the customer first. Jefferson bent over backward to help us close on a lease deal. RELENTLESS SALES CALLS! I started looking for a vehicle on line as most people do. I utilized the "build and price" to get a better idea of what the total costs would be with options. Knowing that a dealer will generally provide a better price, I opted to try to get an "actual price" from Rt. 4 Hyundai. I specifically requested to be contacted by email due to my job as a physician and difficulty in taking calls. Not only did I receive 2-4 CALLS per day, I continued to receive calls after answering and explaining the situation. This has gone on for 3 weeks! I finally called the dealership, explained the issue to a receptionist who assured me my number would be taken off of the list. Problem solved right? Nope... another few days of calls a second call to the dealership. Figured that should be it right? Guess again... just now ANOTHER call. As I explained one MORE time, the sales assistant on the other end stated that she understood, but if I want to purchase a vehicle.... I asked her if she was kidding. They can 't get instructions right when trying to make a sale.. how helpful are they going to be when I have a problem with the car I've bought already. More
They tell you to sign the paper and say this is just to go to the next step. And they make you put a $1000 deposit. They also say this is just a step for me to go speak with financial dept. If you ask if the deposit is 100% refundable, they will say "ABSOLUTELY, YES." Even if you ask them several times, they will keep saying "YES, OF COURSE 100% REFUND". That's how they trick you. If you read the paper, it will say the deposit is non-refundable. But, they will still say the deposit is 100% refundable. And guess what happens when you tell them the interest rate is too high that you need to cancel this transaction and tell them to give you a deposit back. THEY DON'T GIVE YOUR DEPOSIT BACK. They will say to you "Do you have any proof of us saying we will give you a refund? Who did you ask? Paul? Paul is just a salesman. You should have come to me (manger, Eric Bennett) for this question. He has no power! I got the power! We can't give you a refund since you already signed the paper. If you want to bring this to the court, bring this to the court. It will be just bit complicated and hard times for you. But please go ahead, if you want to. Eventually, we'll win. :)" Even if you say you will post a review and write what they have done to me or report this to a newspaper, they will say, "Go ahead! We don't mind. Please do." Yes, they are very sneaky and deceiver. Not only Paul Paik or Eric Bennet, everyone at this dealership is exactly the same. They will rip off your money any time. And they add unnecessary options on your document, which other dealers don't add. So BE AWARE!!! I don't understand how they are still operating. And it is very interesting how this website has 4.3 rating, when other website has 1 star rating for this dealership. Let's be honest. A lot of people have been tricked by them. One other tip to give you, all of the above things that they have done is illegal. I reported this to Hyundai consumer affair and they told me everything they have done and said to me is illegal. They apologized to me and said Paramus Hyundai is not one of them. I told them Paramus Hyundai gave the most horrible and disgusting impression to Hyundai. And they denied Paramus Hyundai is one of Hyundai Corp. They said this dealership is just like a franchise supermarket. As you can see, Hyundai consumer affair is even very shameful about Paramus Hyundai. You guys should better be fixing your fraud habit. I feel bad to watch you guys earning money by ripping off people's money with all those lies. More
