First experience with any Pape dealership and an excellent one it was! I called Pape Subaru and was connected with David Lara, David listened carefully, understood that I was coming in at my lunch excellent one it was! When I arrived, David wasn't immediately available (we didn't have an exact time figured out) but he had one of the sales people ready with keys to test drive a Forester that he thought would fit my need and to take a look at my trade. Image that, someone who respects that I have limited time and is prepared to make sure that time is spent efficiently, I was impressed! Test drive by myself too! Wow! It drives me nuts that a sales rep HAS to drive with me like I might steal or go for joy ride, impressed even more! Came back to the dealership, David met me, apologized that he wasn't able to meet with me when I came in and was almost done with his current customer but asked if I needed anything. I asked to see a model with leather, he quickly handed me keys to a "Limited" asked if I wanted to test drive it as he'd have plates put on, I passed, just wanted to sit in it. In a few minutes I was back in the dealership. He had numbers clearly written down, none of this "trade difference" with magical sales terminology that somehow was suppose to mesmerize me with "if we can get you where you need to be... will you buy this vehicle within the next .5 seconds..." Nope, just said, "I know your time is limited, this is where we are, bring your wife in for another test drive if you like and give me call if you have questions." Wow! My wife and I came back that night, worked a reasonable deal, picked up our 2012 Subaru Forester Premium with the cold weather package that Saturday. Love it! I was trading a VW Sportwagon TDi because we live on a road with a hill and even with snow tires it is with lots of work and worry that we may not get up the hill. VW was horrible in snow and we really needed the AWD of the Subaru. No snow yet to test it out but I have no doubt it will not be a problem Thanks David! Thanks Keri (she was behind the scenes working the numbers)! One of the best experiences buying a car in a long time. I would HIGHLY recommend Pape Subaru and the great team over there! When I purchased my 2010 Forester at Pape I was encouraged to also purchase a pre-paid service plan which would cover recommended maintenance through 45,000 miles. I paid $1050 and returned to Pape encouraged to also purchase a pre-paid service plan which would cover recommended maintenance through 45,000 miles. I paid $1050 and returned to Pape for each service interval. The 45,000 mile check was my final service under the plan on Dec. 12. At the conclusion I was told I owed $235 for the service because my mieage was over 45,000 (45,062). In other words, they charged me twice for the same service. When I questioned this, I was told they "could not put it in" once the mieage passed 45,000. (I had called for an appointment the previous week but could not find a workable time). Given that policy, I would plan on using a different dealership for my next Subaru purchase, not purchasing the pre-paid service plan again and moving maintenance services for my current vehicle to another location. More

I had a great experience purchasing my car with Pape. The salesman was not pushy and worked with others to get me the best possible price. From the outset, he directly expressed his desire to meet our needs and not, primarily, those of the dealership. We were introduced to the dealership team during the decision making process and felt the strong and mutually supportive structure of that team. In addition, we enjoyed the personal relationship that we developed with David during the sales process. I never thought I could buy a brand new car until I walked into Pape Subaru!! This was the best car buying experience I have ever had. I was treated with respect. The sales guy was very friendly he made me feel really comfortable. David was interested in what type of car would best suit me and my needs and made sure I would not only be happy with the choice I made but it would fit all my needs and lifestyle. When I did pick the style/model I liked, everything was explained to me about the paper work not only til I understood, but also until my husband was happy. I have never left a place where someone sold me something and had my husband actually say that was a great deal I liked so and so. But at Pape he also felt that we were treated fairly and not taken advantage of and sold something that was not right for us. I will tell everyone I know where I got my car from. It was a fantastic experience. I recently hit my 3000 miles and took my car in for an oil change. Which was very easy and convenient to schedule on line. When I arrived I was met in the parking lot by a member of service telling me where to park my car. When I pulled into the bay the gentleman who sold me the vehicle came over to say hello to me and asked me if I had any questions concerning the car. Service was quick, which was great because I left work to have it done and missed little time. I believe I delt with Scott in service. I just cannot say enough about every employee at Pape that I came in contact with. They were all professional, friendly and knowledgeable. More
We bought a 2011 Legacy and were so pleased with the car, the service and with the experience that we decided to replace an older Outback with a 2012 Outback. On our recent visit to Maine I had no intention of buying a used Subaru for my son. However, upon visiting Pape Subaru, we found the perfect fit! I told David what price range we could work with and what payments would fit our budget and he and Keri made that happen. The experience was possibly the easiest and friendliest encounter I've ever had with a car dealership. David is incredibly personable, knowlegable and really instilled a lot of confidence in my decision making during this purchase. I thank everyone (including Bob who got me through all that paperwork!) at Pape Subaru for making our entire family a little happier (my youngest got his brother's OLD Impreza!). More

Scott Frazier greets me by name, remembers me and my vehicle, and makes me feel welcome regardless of how busy he is. Kris Corriveau has also been a pleasure to work with. I have always been treated with respect and honesty, and have never felt taken advantage of when my car is in for service. Great job! More
