I arrived there at 5pm on a Thursday and the whole process of choosing and test driving a couple vehicles was painless and care free. Lex is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about what she does. She was practical and didn't push me into making a decision. Straightforward start to finish I got in touch with Bob Gillespie about a VW wagon I was interested in for my son to learn to drive. I came in on a Saturday for a test drive. Though I got in touch with Bob Gillespie about a VW wagon I was interested in for my son to learn to drive. I came in on a Saturday for a test drive. Though I was impressed with the car on the highway, it was being sold "AS IS"; so I arranged with Bob that I would take it to my mechanic on Monday morning. My mechanic gave me an itemized list of needed repairs. Bob and I discussed the list and I made an offer based on it. Bob made a reasonable counter and took it to his manager for the deal to be okayed, which it was, without drama. While the paperwork was being drawn up, Bob took the car to be filled with gas. Then he drove the car to my mechanic (with a another salesman in a second car to drive him back to the dealership) while I drove the car I had driven to the dealership. This saved me a trip back and forth to my home to pick up a second driver. For a purchase that is well known to often be full of anxiety, this was a very low stress experience from start to finish. I let her know how much I did not relish the process of buying a car, and that if she could make if happen in a fast and easy manner, I would buy a car. I gave her my preferences and price, and left. Within two hours, she had found cars to review, and she emailed me the window stickers. She found me my car!! I met her again Monday night and purchased the car the following Saturday. She arranged for the transfer of my insurance, the registration and tags. Wow! That's service! She helped me set-up the features of the car and sent me on my way! Follow-up? You bet!! I highly recommend Wendy Phiel and her team at Matthews Ford. It could not have been easier, more trouble-free, or more pleasant!! I now own the right car for me!!! More
