Going forward, I think I will direct my business to Gunther. Bottom line is that I do not like being duped and lied to when making a purchase - especially of this caliber! Details: I just purchased a 2014 Jetta GLI Autobahn Edition 30 (top of the line in its class) on Saturday 4/19/14. On the way to the dealership I saw a GLI with Bi-Xenon headlights and naturally when I arrived, I asked the salesman which model of the GLI comes with those lights because that's the one I want. HE LIED and said it was only special ordered and I would have to wait 6 weeks to get it if I ordered it. Why? Because they had 3 GLI's on the lot, none of which had those headlights. Of course, I believe him and sign for the model that he sold me. I come to find out that the Edition 30 w/Nav is the model that comes with the headlights I wanted. Granted, we're talking headlights.. But if I'm paying higher prices to drive the top of the line model, I should at least be told the truth about the model's options. I understand that being an informed consumer is my responsibility but I must say that being lied to after giving a fair amount of business to this establishment is just plain wrong. I followed up with a phone call to the Manager and of course, have yet to hear back. Why? Because customer service and satisfaction is obviously last on their list. Should have guessed this from the moment I was informed about the headlights. Needless to say, nothing was done to correct this, still haven't gotten a call back, not even a simple apology AT THE VERY LEAST. So if you're like me and have money to spend on top of the line VW's, stay far away from Palmetto57 (or at least their salespeople) and head on over to Gunther - where they DON'T LIE TO YOU TO MAKE A SALE. More

A great price on a used car! Even though it was a used car it looked like it had just come out of the showroom. Transaction was smooth and seamless. Mr. Frank Fernandez was so warm, welcoming, and kind during the whole negitiations. Everyone was very respectful (not every dealership acts this way when a 33 year-old blonde girl walks in by herself to negotiate a car sale), but at Palmetto 57, I felt completely respected and never undermined financially. I had done my research and homework, and we were quickly and amicably able to negotiate a very fair deal on a brand new VW that both parties were very satisfied with - well, that I was thrilled with! There was an exceptional gentleman in finance who went above and beyond to make sure I understood every aspect of the contract: Mr. Yano Garcia (and it was his birthday, no less!). He also worked with Mr. Yoni Martinez, who came in and ensured that I was completely comfortable with all the selections we had made. Both gentlemen were completely professional and exceptionally courteous. I enjoyed speaking with them. Since the color car I chose was coming from a different location, Mr. Eduardo Saranova, my favorite salesman in the whole world, actually brought it to me while I was at work (I had to work a 30 hour shift at the hospital ICU)!! He left me my beautiful new car and drove off in my old trade-in. On New Year's Eve! You can't get better service than that!! I hope Mr. Tovar knows what an exceptional team he has at Palmetto 57 VW - and he has a lifetime customer in me - I will continue to sing your praises to all of my friends, family, and colleagues! I don't know how VW allows this dealership to be an authorized sales/service center. I took my CC for service as I had an issue with the trunk. $107 to diagnose the problem. 3 hours later I get the new authorized sales/service center. I took my CC for service as I had an issue with the trunk. $107 to diagnose the problem. 3 hours later I get the news - faulty latch, it would cost $321 to replace. OK, go ahead. Hour and a half later, uh, it's more complicated, they are trying to reset the computer. An hour later, uh, it's not the latch, it's the harness. Special order, we don't have it. Prepay $360 for parts and labor and we'll order it. Bring your car in 3 days. Can I get a loaner and leave my car here? We used to have one but not any more. Can someone give me a ride to work when I come back for the special order part to be installed? We have a driver that is here at 9:30 am but no guarantee. In the mean time constant sales attempts offering maintenance services that I don't need. It's a 2009 car, if you charge me $107 for diagnostic which other servicers offer for free how come your diagnostic is b.s.? Found a problem that 4 hours later turns out to be an incorrect one. Sorry, we made a mistake. When you come next time for the repair we'll wash your car for free. I had the feeling that I am on a different planet. Such ineptness, lack of customer service, upsale attempts and delays may be charactaristic of a second hand used car dealership. It shouldn't be for VW authorized dealership. VW, shut them down. SO over the course of the last year my husband has taken his 2006 VW Jetta TDi in for service here. The service technician admitted to show off did something under the car to make the engine rev and have the shop fill with black smoke to the point that the technician blew the engine. After 5 months of the car sitting at VW for repairs (at least they had the courtesy of providing a loaner car.) my husband picked up the car, it is November now . They battery had been switched out, my husband had to replace it yesterday. Now today, the car left him stranded on the Gratigny parkway where he is currently waiting for a tow truck to pick him up. This dealer service Center need to replace this car all ready. All of the problems with iut are from the service techs doing shoddy work. More

I'm an owner of a VW and am very meticulous of the car. I have taken the car to VW Palmetto / Esserman for years up until I realized the mechanics do NOT have knowledge of what they are doing. From stripping my bolt from the oil pan, breaking an oil dip stick and NOT replacing it, to putting in brakes incorrectly and blaming it on my tires. I have read other stories on this site and its a shame that service advisers take the blame for the poor work being performed by the mechanics. My opinion is the following - Pablo Mata is a great service adviser, very friendly. Unfortunately, the mechanics behind the scene seem to either not be schooled correctly with working on VW vehicles OR they are very underpaid and taking out their frustrations on ones car. Needless to say, I drive MILES away to another VW dealer service department where I can feel at ease of the work being performed on my car. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE... sorry Pablo has I think you are great service adviser but the service done there is horrible. It would be great to see Pablo at another service dealership as I would go where he would go. More
