Where do I even begin? If it was possible, I’d give a negative started review. This company is so unprofessional and an absolute nightmare to deal with. I chose Palmetto as the place to take my vehicle after someone had side swiped my car, and this was a top rated place their insurance company offered to cover my claim. After going to Palmetto for my initial estimate appraisal on 4/12, I was told it would take approximately two weeks for all parts to arrive. I gave the shop plenty of time to get the parts in before calling in for a check up. I did not hear from the shop, the ENTIRE month of May, so I called first week of June. The tech who answered said they had received all my parts and they had been there for a bit and they were waiting for me to come in. How am I supposed to make an appointment when I haven’t been told my parts have arrived? When I asked why I hadn’t been contacted, no one could give me an answer. I finally got my appointment set for 6/22, when dropping off my vehicle, I was told it would be a week, week and a half TOPS. So I let that time pass, to again no contact. I reach out after a week and a half and am told that they are still not complete and they could not give me any answer as to when the work would be completed. The women who I had spoken to, said she would get information and call me back. To no surprise, I never heard back yet again. Finally I am told my car will be complete 7/13, the day comes and goes, to still hear nothing. So I call for yet another update, and I am told that the crew is waiting on a part to come in for them to be able to complete the work. Yet I was told all the parts were there back in June…? To make things even better, the following day, I am called at 4:53 to be told my car was FINALLY completed. Now keep in mind, the shop closes at 5! I asked if someone would be there late for me to pick up my car, I am then told by the “shop manager” that he is off at 5, and has other obligations to take care of, but if I give him time to call and make arrangements he could stay for a little bit over for me to get there. But of course I am called at 5pm, with bad weather, and heavy traffic I would have to fight just to get there and it would be easily half an hour or more, the guy definitely makes it known that it is quite the inconvenience for him. So I told him to not worry about it, and that I would get it in the morning. THE. WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER. Save yourself the time, money, and headache of dealing with this unprofessional, disrespectful, and arrogant staff. More

Fo Took my 2002 Saturn with less than 50,000 miles to Palmetto Chevrolet for a starting problem in July. The car would turn over, but would not start. Four times they called to say the car was fixed. Four times and $2000.00 later the car still won't start. One time they said it was fixed and after I paid the bill they couldn't get it to start. Unbelievable. Waiting for them to tell me a fifth time it is fixed and it is April. This was my worst car repair experience. More

I had to search for a salesman, and when found, I told him what I wanted. He pointed me in the direction of the 3 Equinox and Trax vehicles, and that was the last I saw of him. I went to Myrtle Beach to lease my new 2016 Equinox and had the BEST experience ever! More

Other dealerships couldn't get me in until two days before we had to go home. I called Palmetto and talked to Steve. I told him we were due to leave in five days and need this fixed as we are towing an 11,000lb camper. He said to bring it right over. They squeezed me in and found a bad sensor. The repair was 170.00, 200 less than back home. I'm extremely greatful to Steve and Palmetto Chevrolet for their friendliness, urgency of the repair, and performance. True professionals. More
We went to test drive a 2012 Malibu - we liked it and asked for a quote - after a total of three quotes - all higher then what I got on-line from other dealers and the fact that they were 8% lower on my asked for a quote - after a total of three quotes - all higher then what I got on-line from other dealers and the fact that they were 8% lower on my trade in vehicle. I got my car from another Chevrolet dealer. A big problem this dealer has: They want to tell you over and over that they do not add a document fee to the cost of the vehicle. What they don't seem to understand: I do not care - all I want is the lowest out the door cost - they can add the cost lunch for the saleman as lone as they give me the lowest overall cost for the new vehicle. We were in Myrtle Beach on vacation and our Suburban started having problems right as we got into Myrtle Beach. The local Myrtle Beach dealership was backed up two weeks in the service dept which obviou started having problems right as we got into Myrtle Beach. The local Myrtle Beach dealership was backed up two weeks in the service dept which obviously wouldn't work since we were only on vacation for one week! Palmetto Chevrolet was the next closest and fit us in the same day I called. Then they went above and beyond by driving to pick up parts that they did not have in stock so that we could get our car back by the end of that same day. It didn't end there, they also noticed some chrome trim on our door handle was flaking and replaced it without it ever having been mentioned. Thank you to everyone in the service dept at Palmetto, you are fantastic! More
